I really wanted to like this place because my husband said that the lobster was incredible, however, I had a bit of an issue myself. We informed the kitchen of my shellfish (not severe) allergy and they assured me that I would be okay eating the non-shellfish options available and that there would be no cross contamination. Unfortunately, I got sick. I understand that my allergies are my own responsibility to take care of, but I wish they would have just advised me not to eat instead of assuring me I would be okay. Other than that, we had a great time and the group I was with loved the offerings they had. For my husband's shellfish loving sake, I would come back again.

This place was the lobster shack I've been imaging and it delivered.... except the lobster.
The outdoor pier seating was clean and comfortable enough, good live band, good local brew... but the lobster roll was cold and dry, popcorn lobster looked more like little flakes of batter with no real lobster flavor. For 60 bucks for two dinners and 2 brews I expected to be happier.

Went there during lunch and they had live music. They make a good shrimp basket. The shrimp wrap is also tasty. Their fried food is not too greasy like you find in a lot of seafood places that serve seafood baskets. Good view of the water from their deck.

My wife and I had lunch at the Portland Lobster Company on Commercial Street in Portland this summer. We both had lobster rolls ~ hers was gluten-free ~ and we sat on the patio while we ate lunch. This is a typical lobster shack, but what's not to love, eh? It's a fast casual type of restaurant and the ordering process was fast and efficient. The lobster rolls themselves were very good, but what made the entire experience better was being able to sit outside on the pier and eat. The outdoor seating area is quite large and it's a great place to sit during good summer weather.

My first lobster experience and this place did not disappoint! The place was packed so we knew it had to be a good spot. The wait was certainly reasonable to get our food. They also had a nice beer selection. We wanted authentic, fresh seafood since we can't get that in the Midwest and this place delivered!
