Went to our first Brewery on our way to Vermont and got hooked on the ambience so I was really looking forward to checking out a couple while in Bar Harbor. Totally different experience - the restaurant beside the brewery had closed for the season and you can't buy beers to drink, they only do tastings, apparently their location in Bar Harbor is much different but we didn't feel like heading back to pandemonium as the cruise ship was in town. Hubby didn't care for any of the beers he tried and the one he was looking forward to trying - Leaf Peepers - was sold out, the blueberry soda was excellent though so there's that. Also, the place is supposed to be pet friendly only on the patio (I asked before hubby and our golden even got out of the car) but then the young man pouring the samples said you had to drink them in the building, not sure where he expected our dog to wait or how we were supposed to taste the beers from the patio they weren't allowed on but the young lady working the cash register intervened and allowed the tastings outside.

It was extremely packed so my group could not get a table, but the workers were doing very well to accommodate. We got our food quickly. The barbecue was excellent, so fresh and delicious! Definitely would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so packed.

Great place to go on a rainy day, but a lot of people get the same idea. The first 25 for each time slot get a free brewery tour. The tour was informative but brief which was very good because it gave more time to try the beers. After the tour you get to sample six or so and beers and the pours are generous. If you can't make the brew tour they also have free tastings available. There is some outdoor seating available but make sure you bring some mosquito repellent.

Great beer, excellent barbecue, this place is outstanding. Very friendly staff and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have live music and also play some bags. Ribs, beans and cornbread are very delicious. I tried at least six brews and all free. I like at least four, superb. Do yourself a favor and make the trip, it is well worth it!

Terrific beer and staff. A small farmhouse operation with a satellite brewery in Bar Harbor. The one in Bar Harbor has the experimental brews. Good pricing for tasty beer. There’s a BBQ tent here and it was tasty too. The tour is very brief but the samples are free! Kid friendly with a playground!
