Smuggler’s Cove Inn

This is the place to get away and relax. Hotel is clean and comfortable, rooms all have great water view. Restaurant on sight with good food. Staff very friendly. Really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit meeting other guests! We highly recommend!

Peaceful, serene location. Clean, nicely decorated rooms. Excellent hot and cold complimentary breakfast in their attached restaurant, The 1820 House, which also serves a great dinner in a dining room with a wonderful view of the bay. It is in a lovely location and the owners have excellent advice on local walks and hideaways. They have a well maintained outside pool, a kiddies' playground, a fire pit which they light nightly, and kayaks for loan from their private Sandy Beach. But the best thing from my perspective is that they have one dog friendly building. We will be back soon. Oh yes, and if you are sailing they have moorings

We spent a week in New England visiting car museums. Smuggler's Inn was clearly the gem of our nightly stays. The view, and physical access to the bay was wonderful. The sunset view over the bay was an exclamation point to a totally positive experience. The on-site restaurant was great both for dinner and breakfast.

Enjoyed a one night stay while recently passing through Maine on the way to Acadia. The room was clean and quiet with a fantastic breakfast the next day. Beautiful setting on the water and a fun fire pit in the evening. VERY nice people!

Very happy with our stay! What a view! Very clean, comfortable and enjoyable. Quiet, free kayaks for use, free breakfast. We’d definitely go back. Stayed in an Anchor room.
