“Dined at Jolie Rogers over Labor Day weekend with a small group of oyster lovers. All of us agreed that these were hands down the best oysters we have ever had. One member of our group even made the comment that he felt he had never truly experienced an oyster until what Jolie Rogers had to offer. Yes, they are that good. You won't find a lobster roll here - there are a handful of places for that literally a stone's throw away - but the quality of everything we tried was top notch. An obvious focus on fresh, local ingredients that reflects the beauty of seasonality. Andy was extremely hospitable and highly knowledgeable about his craft as an oyster farmer and preparer, and was happy to answer any questions about his process. Additionally, he's a great source of local info for anyone who may be visiting from out of state like we were. We were seriously entertaining the thought of going back the next day for lunch if they weren't closed for a private event! Will be back for sure any time we find ourselves in the area. Highlights for us were: *3 dozen oysters (and their beautiful presentation) - cleanest shucked oysters you will ever have, and the most flavorful too *Scallop ceviche - you know something is good when you order a plate to share, and then everyone wants an order for themselves. Delicate flavors that compliment each other without ever distracting *Drinks - great selection of local and less local beer and wine, and also a fantastic Bloody Mary made with in house sauces *Dessert - locally made small batch ice cream sandwiches. We got all 3 flavors and all of us had a different favorite because they were all so amazing”

“Delicious sandwich and soup, super fresh and creative combos. Owned and operated by a lovely couple. Great addition to the Wiscasset food scene. Service is slow, and it’s worth it.”

“Great place to grab a meal or provisions. Many of their own products (try the Portuguese hunters sausage or fennel salami) & mostly Maine provisions from beer to cheese to pork to spices to wines. Outdoor tables/bar with charcuterie boards & other dishes (the mission figs with a red wine reduction & goat cheese were to drive for)”

“OMG! Heaven has opened and sent down some manna... I was SO desperate to find a source of elevated vegan food in mid-coast Maine to satisfy my palate and energy needs - I took out an ad in the local newspaper looking for a private chef. S&P answered my call! My freezer is now stocked with unbelievably delicious food that I go to everyday knowing that I'm eating beautiful food that's good for me and the planet. While my housemates eat frozen pizza, I am empowering my body with nutrients and nourishing foods for my soul. P.S. my house-mate meat-eaters are stealing my leftovers, need I say more?”

“I have no idea what the restaurant is like here (it was always too late or too early whenever I was actually awake on the property to try), but the hotel accommodations were on-point. Relatively clean with good views… solid deal for a VERY historic, touristy area?! what more can you possibly ask for?”
