The location was breathtaking. We sat outside with a view of the ocean.
Food was decent, but could have been seasoned a bit more. Waitress seemed to be in a hurry to take our order, even though the restaurant was not very busy.
When I asked if I could subsitiute for a side of onion rings, I was told that I would have to order them as an appetizer at $8.95 if I wanted them. Many restaurants will just charge a few dollars to make the change, so I passed. Overall a good experience.
It was a cold and rainy Friday night in May. We decided to go somewhere warm and the Whale's Tooth did not disappoint. I had beer battered fish and chips served in newspaper. Literally. Heavy on the batter, but it was delicious. The portion sizes were enough for two. I also had butternut squash, which had brown sugar and nutmeg(?). It was delicious. My dining partner had the broiled scallops and they were cooked to perfection. We shouldn't have had dessert, but the choices were so tempting, we did. I had the coconut banana pie, she had peach and blueberry cobbler. It was warm and cozy, there was live entertainment, and the food was very good.
