The Clam Shack

Lobster roll from a one pound lobster. With mayo, butter, or both. It was my first time eating lobster and I think it set the bar high. The fried shrimp and fried scallops were also very good. Only complaint is that the parking situation isn't great.

We were quite disappointed this time. They seem to have cheapened everything except the lobster. We were there many many years ago. The roll was well toasted and they gave you a container of the delicious butter. We didn’t get either this time. Bun was barely toasted, no butter, barely any butter in the meat . I could have sworn the bun was the hot dog type too back then. The meat was cold. Many years ago everything was hot and you got the extra butter. Bugs to die for back then. But the lobster meat is excellent. Very disappointed.

Don’t let the prices scare you! The portions here are great especially the lunch boxes, everything was nice and hot and the cashiers are super nice and helpful. The fries were a tad dry but other than that man is the food good, highly recommended the clam strip lunchbox.

The Clam Shack was crowded when the four of us arrived but the line went down quickly and after ordering the lobster roll, chowder, and a crab cake we settled at an outside table to wait for our number to be called. Shortly we had our food which was delicious. The lobster roll was generous with large chunks of meat in a moist sauce. Everything else was as expected. Prepare to be satisfied by this experience.
