Our hotel clerk recommended Robert's when we asked about a good seafood restaurant close by. We had the fried cheddar cheese curds (awesome and light, like Cheetos for adults!), a lobster roll, and a filet with lobster on the side. The steak was surprisingly good for a place specializing in seafood. The beer sampler was served very creatively and appropriately for a seafood place. Everything we ordered was excellent.
The deck of the restaurant itself overlooks an inlet (which was unfortunately just mud when we went, presumably at low tide), and it's close by the outlets, several hotels, and right on the main (Maine?) roads so it's very accessible. We would definitely return the next time we visit.
Robert's Maine Grill does have great food and a nice atmosphere. The portion sizes vs price is where it loses a few points. My $20 some dollar a plate food was only about half full. This is the only place my 11 year old son has actually cleaned his plate. If you are looking to impress someone who isn't very hungry and want to drop $100 or more while doing it, stop here. If you are a weary traveler or a tourist with a hungry family, keep on truckin' right on by.
Had an awesome time stopping off here after a long day of shopping. Super happy with the service and the food. A fun menu with awesome picks. The coffee was awesome and warmed me up after a rainy day in Maine.
Came here with the family and we had a good experience. We ordered the lobster roll, chowder, stuffed clam, haddock Reuben, and fish and chips.
Everyone enjoyed their food. Cooked well. If you decide to visit, park next door, plenty of parking. The restaurant doesn't have a ton of parking and is a pain.
Prices are a bit steep, $126.00 for the food above and 2 beers.
Service we got was average. Clean restaurant. Nice place to hit up, but we will probably explore a different place next time.
My wife and I ate here on our excursion of the New England states. Robert's is a clean, comfortable eating establishment with a nice selection of seafood. Our only negative impressions of the place was the limited parking and high prices. We tried their lobster roll, clam chowder, and assortment of oysters and clams on the half shell. We enjoyed all our food with the exception of the clams on the half shell. Those had a very strong briny taste to them.
