First time coming to The Food Market last night. Our server was Matt, he was very friendly, efficient, and made great suggestions. We ordered a bunch of small plates so we could try everything. The braised pork tacos and roasted cauliflower were my favorites!
We will definitely be back for Matt’s wonderful service!
The food and service here is great! Inventive dishes executed very well. The mozzarella sticks and fried oysters...fantastic. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the tables are packed so close together it felt like we were eating with the people on either side of us. I'm all about being friendly with other restaurant patrons but it was so loud in there too that it was difficult to engage with them. I'll definitely be going back but perhaps at an off peak time.
The service was great. We were able to get a table around 11am on a Sunday for brunch. Otherwise you can sit at the bar or the community table if there is a long wait. The food was good. The chicken and biscuits were cute. I didn't like the cheese whiz used. Everything is cooked fresh and homemade. My bf had the steak and eggs. He wasn't a huge fan. The steak was pretty small, but he ate everything. I absolutely loved the dippable tempura French toast. Next time will have to try the heath bar pancakes with a different entree.
This place has just regular food with a twist. Very exciting. I ordered apple pie on my French toast, and it's insanely good. The service Is great, and the decor and atmosphere is really cool. There is an open kitchen where you can see the chefs cooking. I recommend
The atmosphere is always festive and upbeat. The staff is Awesome and very friendly ans knowledge about the menu. I had the Shrimp and Grits and was not very pleased. I feel like they have changed the recipe. I did however love the Cream of Crab soup. It is best around. Overall, a great experience!
