I’ve been here many times, it’s an excellent place for a first date. Huge selection, the wait staff is excellent, and the food is great. If you park in the garage directly across the street, it’s $5 flat rate if you tell them you’re going to Tapas Teatro. About $100 total for a filling dinner for two with a few drinks. I’ll certainly be back!

Very welcoming environment! Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender. Ordered the lamb chops, spinach, shrimp and the flan. Matt (the bartender) helped me choose what house cocktail would be closest to and old fashioned and nailed it. We discussed the temperature for the lamb chops and I decided to have them cooked medium. Everything came out perfectly delicious. The best part for me was listening to Matt interact with other guests, he was very knowledgeable of the wines and drinks. But also knowledgeable on various other topics. I myself being from the restaurant industry, can appreciate good service and food. My friend Daz who has been coming to tapas teatro for over 15yrs highly recommended it and took me for a quick bite. Glad that he did! Also Gaby dropped off our food and described them to us, she later walked us to the door and said goodnight before we left. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will make the drive from dc and come again.

My husband and I went to Tapas Teatro for a Friday evening date night and had such a great experience! The ambiance was calm and smooth, and the service was delightful. That’s not even to mention the food, which struck a perfect balance and mood, and complimented the one before it. Each dish was its own special adventure and eating felt like a warm journey rather than a simple meal. We’ll definitely be going back and seeing what new plates we’ll try next!

Perfect companion to an evening at the movies, Tapas Teatro's location and small plates make it irresistible. This is a small, bustling place with an interior themed to be dark despite a few largely glass doors offering views of the street. As vegetarians who are not fond of goat cheese, we found the menu a bit limited, though we were able to put together a very good meal with our waiter's guidance. Don't miss the baked eggplant with curried vegetables!

Tapas Teatro is a cute tapas restaurant next to the Charles theater, hence "Tapas Teatro." The dining area is cramped, and it's hard to move around without bumping into another chair, patron or server. There is usually a line, but it moves quickly, and we were able to get to our movie on time.

The first time I dined there with my husband, the waiter was upbeat, and encouraging without being pushy. He kept an eye on us the whole time, and when we were getting close to finishing our plates, we had another plate on our table in no time. It felt like we had spent $100, but when we received our check, we were relieved that the tab was closer to $50.

The second time we were there, the server wasn't as attentive, and when we finished our food we had to flag down our server, and our experience that day was disappointing.

The tapas are sized for what you'd expect for tapas, and the plates are seasoned well. There were some dishes we liked more than others, but we never got a plate we didn't like.
