“Definitely a good place for a special occasion. Went for my daughter's birthday. Quaint and quiet. Staff was refreshingly professional and cordial. Clean. Food was unique and delicious; something on the menu for everyone and nothing like anywhere else around in this area. Portions were decent. Don't be fooled by the portions. By the time we got the main course I was feeling full. If you are really hungry get the lamb shank. And for dessert, we each ordered something different; my comment on their desserts...i would go there just for that! Cost is what you would expect, decent for a middle of the week dining out venture. So if you're looking for something different for your palate and somewhere quiet this is the place. And, the staff has surprises for their guests which was unexpected and made us feel welcomed.”

“I'll definitely be back, and I live over an hour away! The gentleman who runs this place is extremely friendly and accommodating. There's a gorgeous garden out back with plenty of seating for larger groups. We had English tea and an assortment of sweets/pastries and loved all of it. If you're looking for something nice to pair with the tea, try the scone with lemon curd. The menu seems traditionally English which is a fun change of pace from other cafes. Coming here is an awesome way to spend part of a day!”

I'm taking my granddaughter several times, and not only do they like the food they love the little table games on those little baby tablets that they can play. Helps keep them occupied so I can sneak some time in catching up on scores. The burgers are good to Wings are excellent mac and cheese is good and everyone comes away happy, which is always a goal. I still want up with a little cash in my wallet which is the best part. Well worth the ride well worth the time and two thumbs up. But I will say, you better be a sports fan if you go here because you're going to get drowned in it.”

They recently put in new automated order kiosks which makes the order process go much faster while also allowing you to customize your order a little more. “With its striking red horse statues in front, this is something of a landmark in Frederick. Inside, the wood beams and fireplaces give it a cozy, lodge-like atmosphere. This pairs well with the friendly, welcoming staff. In an age where too many restaurants are competing to see who can be the most trendy, I was happily surprised by the well thought out menu. Although steaks are the specialty, there was a good selection of alternatives. In the mood for something lighter, we took advantage of this by ordering seafood. Specifically, we ordered the Crab Imperial Stuffed Rainbow Trout and Apricot Glazed Sea Scallops. Unlike some other places, there were actual lumps of crab and only enough stuffing to hold it lightly together. The scallops were tender and the apricot glaze took them to a new level! Not counting the bottle of wine (there's a very good selection so we couldn't resist), two drinks, a shared appetizer, and entrees came to just over $80. It's not exactly cheap, but it's well worth it. We look forward to returning to watch them cook our steaks through the unique viewing window.”
