Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings

Really excellent food! Loaded fries have tons of chicken, huge waffle fries, and excellent sauce. Chicken "Sando" Jr was just the right size, juicy and super flavorful, rivaling any other chicken sandwich. And bubble teas! Food came right out with minimal wait, music was excellent (per my teenager).

When we went it was a bit dead and the service was slow, but holy cow the food is amazing. Different levels of heat, including one you need to sign a waiver for. Got a sandwich and fries, and even tried the super hot nuggets. Will definitely leave you tearing up and with a sore tongue for a bit. Great for a night with friends to test each other's strengths. Once people know about this place it should be hopping, love the artwork!

The service is excellent, the food is great, but the music is too loud. If you want to try spicy chicken, order medium, because for me mild doesn't taste spicy at all. And yes they sell halal food, they said all halal, but better call them before you stop by.

Hangry Joe's makes some of the best hot chicken around. This is a very new location, and unfortunately fell a bit short of what I've come to expect from this chain. I've had it in Richmond, Annapolis, and now Frederick, but this new location has a bit of work to do in order to keep up with the others... my chicken was too thick and overcooked, and the fries were over fried and hard. I have had medium before, but this medium seemed hotter than the other locations. The sandwich needed more slaw and pickles, I didn't even see a pickle until the last half of the sandwich.

I'm sure once they hit their stride and get some experienced workers, the quality will improve. The location was surprisingly empty, I think most of Frederick doesn't know what it's missing here. Check back in a few months for a 5 star experience but it's a 4 right now.

This place is hit or miss. We tried the Sando 1 meal. The chicken sandwiches were overcooked to the point that my wife wouldn't eat it. Mine was editable, but the edges we were over cooked.
I also ordered 6 wings, and they cooked perfectly. They were delicious. Fries were good, and the fountain drinks and ice all worked and were good.
They have TVs to watch while eating, which we like.
Staff was fine and brought our food to our table.
Not bad. Maybe we just went on a bad chef day.
