Maiwand Kabob

The food here is DELICIOUS but the service is not great. We were greeted after 15 minutes and water took forever to come. I had to ask many times to get my order right and straws were never given when they are in the waiters pockets. The food also took awhile to come out, but it was worth the wait! It was flavorful and juice! I would come back maybe during the week at a less busy hour.

The food is usually really good.

Today Tuesday 2/19/2019 the buffet was not good. There was hardly any food. The service was slow and horrible. The staff had an ‘ I don’t care’ attitude.

I ordered the chicken kabob which comes with rice, salad and naan. A green sauce also comes with it, and I don't know what it's made of but is delicious! With everything. The chicken kabobs are juicy and perfectly seasoned. The best kabobs I have eaten! The service is great also and the decor is clean and pleasant. I don't usually eat lamb because I find it too gamey for me, but I can eat their lamb kabobs. It has a clean, fresh flavor. Delicious! The rice is also very flavorful with spices and seasoning. Overall, a great kabob restaurant!

I drive from Burtonsville to Columbia just to eat here. It's consistently delicious, and the service is always on point. They don't mind reasonable substitutions, either. For example, I don't eat bread or rice, and they will sub chickpea and/or potato curry upon request. I visit Columbia at least once a week to visit my family and always swing by Maiwand to pick up dinner. It's also a great place to eat in as well!

We moved to Columbia MD recently and we're liking this place a lot because my wife and I love Kabob, everything is good, exotic food, typical service you would expect from a Kabob place, took some of our friends there too. The only thing is that they add the gratuity into the bill, we have always double tipped before we found out. But we loved the food no doubt.
