Great brunch experience with the family. The kids enjoyed drawing/coloring in the paper table cover. The service was attentive and friendly. We liked that there were a variety of starters and mains that adults and kids would enjoy. The French toast was amazing. Probably the best thing we ate. The steak and special sauce along with the fries were perfect. We also got the breakfast sandwich with the poached eggs. It was served in a plate on top of paper. Recommend not serving with the paper as the runny eggs + hollandaise + steak sauce caused it to be soaked. Tried to eat with a knife and fork since it was so liquid. Harf to cut through the bread (rustic), but overall the taste was great. Also enjoyed the botomless brunch cocktails. Next time, I'll probably stick to French toast and steak and frites. Would definitely come back for dinner. Great addition to Columbia.

    Eh

Decided to try this place out since I have seen it in Charlotte. The Mother’s Day brunch was $35/person and included a yogurt parfait, steak, French fries, and bottomless bloody Mary’s or mimosas.

Our server was great!!! When it came to the food, we were underwhelmed, to say the least. I guess the value was there, but I was hoping for a more complete menu. Literally all you get is steaks and fries. No vegetables. No other starch options. It just felt like Johnny Rockets and we were expecting something more mature. I would’ve paid more for more options and a better experience overall.

Personally, we won’t be going back. This isn’t the kind of menu that leaves you thinking ‘we need to come back to try ____’ because well…there’s nothing left to try.

I’ve been waiting with eager anticipation for Medium Rare to open in Columbia, MD. Their simple prix fixe menu of bread, salad, steak and fries was right up my alley. I would describe the atmosphere as clean, modern, casual and inviting…a perfect spot for a no fuss date night! Our servers, Pete and Alexander, were top notch, providing consistent and friendly service. Despite the name of the restaurant, your steak is cooked to your specifications, so don’t worry! The meal itself was delicious and satisfying, my steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were seasoned well and crispy, and it even came with an unexpected surprise. All I’ll say is, save room. We topped off our meal with their decadent chocolate cake…amazing! I highly recommend giving them a try. We’ll definitely be back for more steak and brunch too!!👓

Went went on a busy Saturday night with a party of four! We arrived around 8:30 and even though the place was packed dinner was winding down. The host (manager maybe? He was wearing a fancy jacket) seemed a little annoyed we didn't have a reservation but we only had to wait a few minutes, no other parties or reservations seemed to be waiting. I think next time we'd make a reservation either way.

The food was REALLY good! The bread had a very crunchy crust but was warm when it arrived. The salad was fantastic, especially with the cracked black pepper on it. I was surprised how much that really took it up a notch. The salad was dressed in a light Caesar style dressing that was very good. The cook on the steaks was great, and the sauce was killer, it was a like a brown gravy. I liked it on both the steak and shoestring fries. The fries were nice and thin and everything was fast and hot. Seasoning was good on the steaks and the cut wasn't bad.

The drinks were just okay, we tried the Lavender 75 which was a bit medicinal but not too sweet, and the blackberry sangria which was sweeter and had good flavor. We'd skip them next time I think.

They've been open only a few days and the servers are obviously still learning the ropes, they couldn't help with drink or salad ingredients and while the cook on our steaks was great they didn't seem sure who ordered what, we had to trade plates. I'm hopeful they'll get that sorted out in the next few days though.

It was a little gimmicky that they only serve one thing and the price was on the higher side, but we had fun and really enjoyed our meal. They've really nailed the steak thing. We can't wait to go back to try Brunch soon! I'll update if we do.

We have been waiting for this location to open so we were happy to come for opening week! The service was great. Server explained the concept to us. I know it’s opening week and they are busy, but we only saw our server at the beginning and then at the end of the meal. We saw the owner and managers going around and talking to other tables.

The food and drinks were phenomenal!
We had the blackberry sangria and the hibiscus margarita. The bread was fluffy with a good crunch. Salad was tasty, although I wish it had some croutons or cheese. The start of the show is the steak-frites. Thinly-sliced and packed with flavor. The sauce is amazing! A little surprise is that they come around with seconds, which we enjoyed.

Highly recommend for a solid outing with friends, celebration or date night!
