Xi'an Gourmet 川陕名吃

I went there twice and had the lamb with curry. Tasted like nothing I had ever had before so I went back and tried it again. Phenomenal flavor. Unfortunately I should try something different next time. Beautiful dining room and good service.

I dine there with a large group the service was good and we had so many delicious dishes I can't remember them all.

I had a Shanxi vegetables and tofu bowl, extra spicy. The food was good, flavorful. Though a bit expensive, there was enough food for three meals in that bowl. The vegetables were fresh and plenty, but the fish had a lot of oil. The service was good, as was the ambience.

Run by the people from Panda gourmet in DC. Tried the Xian burger, Xian cold noodles, lamb skewers, beef soup. All very good. More spacious and less noisy than Panda gourmet. Staff's English can be hard to understand, so please be patient.

I'm glad I decided to give this place a try after the initial bad reviews after opening. The flavors and ingredients are top notch, though a lot are covered up by how outrageously salty everything is. It's great, but even better if you get it to go and distribute the salt with some potatoes or something. Prices for regional items are good, but the generic items are pricey compared to other places
