Dokiya Ramen

Best ramen I’ve had yet. Extremely silly, homemade noodles, deep and earthy broth, and perfectly cooked and seasoned boiled eggs soaked in soy sauce. Get the BG ramen - the black garlic gives the distinct earthy flavor I loved and haven’t had elsewhere.

Ramen is really good, maybe the best around honestly. Two reasons I’m docking stars are because 1) they close for an hour at 3 and I get off work at 3. I work right around the corner and have wanted several times to get it to go (the way they pack their to-go is awesome compared to everywhere else - no bowl needed) but can’t unless I wait and if I wait traffic get that much worse. This reason leads me into my second complaint, because they close mid day I’ve gone several times on my lunch break at 11am (right when they open) to get to-go for me and the family to have for dinner. 90% of the time I’m the first customer they have for the day. I usually get 3 ramens and 3 seaweed salads to-go, and it has taken over 20 minutes every time, and twice it took over 30 minutes... I don’t think I’m being irrational in thinking that is just too long, especially because I’m the first m (and often the only) person there.... but it’s like, the food is so good. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it lol, so it some respects, it’s worth it.

Great variety of ramen with good prices! The staff is attentive and the portion sizes are pretty big. Parking is free and right up front.

Ramen was good. I love it. Price is good for a really good food ????????????. Im going to go back and try another ramen.. ????????????

New ramen place with potential but not as good as many other ramen places in Rockville. Waiting staff was excellent. Oyster and chicken appetizers were forgettable. Ramen broths are complex and flavorful but our bowls came missing key protein elements. Rice dishes were not impressive. Did not try the grilled dishes. Still a pleasant dinner overall.
