“I have been tasting a lot of dishes from Chopathi before I wrote this and I feel this place as one of the best options in Gaithersburg area. Yes the food is a bit above the others but the quantity is nearly increased by 25% but the price increased by 10%. They have introduced family pack for about 40$ and it is good for a family for two adults and two kids for eating two times. I see a lot of reviews stating rude customer service, what I have been observing is that the customers who come in do not even smile or talk to the staff and talk as though they own half of the world, seriously and they expect the staff to be super friendly, I do not think so. I have visited here at least three times in last 3 months and the staff now not only remember me but also my family. My kids love to go there as every staff who take care of the customers are easy going and happy people. Me and my family talk to them and smile at then and ask them how they are and now I see their service and their attitude as great. Coming to food, I have tired a few varieties and it all tastes near authentic if you ask them for spicy or mild spice. If you cannot take spice and expect to have good Indian food it is best to eat home. The biriyani have a unique flavor and the sweets and fresh and well made. Hope they continue their quality and cleanliness as we go in to next few years.”

“Opening day ordered house blend milk tea (30% sugar) and strawberry cream milk tea (50% sugar). Both were half bubble half mango jelly. Decor is really good. Friendly, open, colorful. Really eye catching on the streets, really entertaining in the store. Appreciate the dragon icon around the icon in the back of the store. The street fighter II arcade machine in the corner was also a nice touch. The teas were really good. Bubbles were soft on the outside and firm on the inside. The house blend was your typical house blend milk tea. The strawberry tea is green tea base (I hope) with strawberry chunks. The milk cap was the thing that took the cake though; it was light, frothy, smooth, and the little bit of salt in there made you appreciate the milk cap even more.”

“Accidentally found this noodle store at RIO and I was amazed. Noodles are delicious and authentic; store is relatively small but clean. Recommend! I love hand-pull noodles; I pretty much ate this kind of noodles almost every other day in my hometown Taiwan. This is the best hand-pull noodles I find in the US. However, I did find the stir-fry tofu and veggie noodles a little blend. The beef noodle soup tasted very good and they are generous of the amount of meat.”

If you listen to the recording of flavor options for the day, when you call up, it is not updated throughout the day, so beware. The service is relatively fast, depending on the time of day that you get there and how busy they are. They do have a wide variety of flavors and combinations! I recommend going to try them all. “Hello!! My boyfriend comes here ALL the time! So when he asked what I wanted to eat I told him to surprise me! He took me to Hunan Cafe, my mouth started drooling anyways because I absolutely adore Chinese food! When we go in, Jessica is all smiles. She remembers my boyfriend, they go back and forth because apparently it's been a while since he was last here lol. He introduces me to her and she is all smiles and just an all around wonderful lady! We let her know that I have something going on with my mouth and can't really eat anything crunchy or hard. She offers the chicken noodle soup and for the chicken in the soup to be softened up. I was so down for chicken noodle soup! He orders chicken dumplings, hot and spicy, and con pow chicken. After ordering we used the restroom and it was really clean! Looked amazing! We sit down and not long after that she comes out with my chicken noodle soup first. When she gets it in front of me I was shocked! I had never seen chicken noodle soup the way they make it! She brings my boyfriend's food to him and we start to dig in. He has never seen chicken noodle soup that way either. We both take a bite and are in heaven!!!! Holy smokes I was flying on cloud 9 I swear!!! I loved the broth, the veggatables, and the noodles. I loved everything about my meal! Both my boyfriend and I had both agreed that when I feel better we would come back for her wonderful chicken noodle soup!! We even let her know and she was all smiles and encouraged us to come back! I highly recommend this wonderful Chinese place and especially when your not feeling well to try her chicken noodle soup!!!
