Junction Bistro, Bar & Bakery Chevy Chase

Junction is a new arrival to The Collections family. My first experience during their first week was tasting their Raspberry "Cruffin"! What is a cruffin you ask??? Let's just say it's like a buttery croissant and muffin (nestled in a deep muffin tin) had a baby, and it's belly was full of luscious raspberry Creme Pattisiere! (Fancy French custard). I'm not gonna lie.... I still dream of biting into that crispy, light crafting dusted with sugar and needing 10 napkins to mop the raspberry cream off my face! Oh, it does come in Blackberry and Strawberry flavors too , but I'm still partial to my first baptism by raspberry! 🥐+🧁=💖

Although I discovered Junction as a breakfast spot, they do serve lunch and have a bar menu for dinner fare as well. Another winner is Junction's Drunken Fish Sandwich and Chips. Nope, were not talking potato chips but British style Fish n Chips in a sandwich platter form! The big chunks of crispy, golden battered cod were soooo crispy, yet the fish was juicy and flaky! They were served up with tartar sauce, and ridged pickles. And then the "chips"... These fries were crispy but fluffy inside. The perfect twice-cooked (Pro move) style fries. These, I would say, rival Blue Duck Tavern's famous Duck fat fries!! Definitely worth a try! I should also give a major shout-out to the smoky brisket sandwich too.

The aesthetic here is very nice. The mid-century modern design is beautifully executed. I came in for breakfast and I really enjoyed the chicken sausage! Next time I’d love to try the pastries because those also look great. Customer service here is also excellent.

Great newly opened spot right off Wisconsin Avenue in the Chevy Chase Collection. Fantastic food for all meals; great coffee and pastries especially but also an underrated dinner spot (shown below). Staff was accommodative and friendly. Great ambiance and neighborhood feel.

I popped in this morning and had the French toast sticks for my breakfast meeting. It was delicious and well made! Overall, the menu is on the pricier side, but service was great and the place is spotless! Planning on visiting soon for a sit-down experience.
