Service seemed off today. Waiter disappeared for long stretches and it was not super busy. Managers were sitting in a booth in the mostly empty dining room and waitstaff were delivering disinterested service. All the food was great and drinks were excellent. Kudos to the bar & kitchen. I might tend to agree with some of the other reviewers that guaranteeing the staff a 20% tip may cause them to become complacent. That was my experience.
We enjoyed this place. We had the Duck Cuban sandwich and a salad. Both were good. Service was great. Nice decor. I would definitely recommend this place.
This spot has some GOOD FOOD!! Hands down, it’s that simple. I saw them on my social medias when they first opened. Now I’m here!! Oh and to the Bamma that called in a bomb threat at this spot…you’re not important!!

This is the hidden gem brunch in the DC area. Innovative menu, great service, and lovely, warm atmosphere.
We arrived on Sunday morning at 10:15 and did not need a reservation, which was a big plus.
The restaurant is clean & newly refurbished - upgrade from the old Republic where we used to go.
Food: Potato Rosti with Salmon - Absolutely Fantastic! This is just a gorgeous savory dish - with micro greens, cream with chives, yum.
French Toast was crunchy and innovative, and this was delicious as well.
The mimosas were generous pours - best I’ve seen in the area.
The best bonus for me is that there’s a kids menu - many places don’t have that. Will be back - the whiskey selection at the bar looked amazing.
Came during their opening week. The vibe of the space is comfortable and local-focused which is nice. The staff were buzzing around to keep everyone happy and fed and were very friendly.
The real winner is the food. The best way to describe the dishes is layered. The flavors are fresh and clean and each bite brings something new. There is a focus on fish and shellfish. What's also helpful is the small plate focus which allows for variety. We had the potato pancake, the lobster rolls, sourdough, and grilled oysters. It was all amazing. I had two cocktails which were delicious. Great local spot.
