Amazing! I sampled a large portion of the menu with a great group of people and it was all incredible! The atmosphere was great, the service was perfect and the food was crazy delicious! It was one of the best foodie nights I've had in a long time. Great flavors and unique dishes that made for a fun night.

SUCCOTASH is wonderful it's like taking a trip down south. The food is delicious the staff is friendly. Get there early they are usually crowded but it's not because they don't know what they are doing it's because the food and atmosphere is fantastic and everyone wants to go. Thanks Succotash i got a chance to experience the cuisine of the south and it was awesome.

Dined for brunch with my family of eight--ages 1 1/2 to 59 yrs (mostly in their 30s). As a family we are used to dining out in many types of restaurants from all over the country. The experience was so superb and the food so delicious that we went back the following day for more. I wanted to find an environment that was classy but cozy--a place where my family would have a good memory. This place exceeded our expectations. We divided up into two side-by-side tables in cozy alcoves so that we could order individually vs. family style (8+). We ordered the deviled eggs, biscuits and gravy (best ever--and my husband's from Nashville), the hangover, lobster Benedict, and more. To a person my family could only say 'omg' as we ate. Delicious. No wait. Excellent service. Restaurant decor was stunning. Again, classy but cozy. Even the wait staff, who were obviously trained well, softly extended their hands when placing or taking away dishes. Every little detail was to perfection. I am hard to please, yet this place managed to do so.

Ambiance and service is wonderful. Mini appetizers or snacks as they call them were nothing to write home about. I ordered deviled eggs, hash browns, and fried okra. When you say to yourself, my so and so tastes better than this...but the main course course was great. Smoked salmon w.curry succotash and fried onions. Finished with humming bird cake for dessert.

There is enough for a hearty appetite. Make reservations or prepare for a long wait. I am not sure of the design, it's a cross between your old aunt and a ship galley but never quite making up its mind. The same goes for the food. Had the sampler which is wild on presentations and weak on flavor. Even the chicken dishes were inconsistent. Fish good but too much breading, and the tender ribs were bland at best. The cornbread was interesting as each quarter had a different flavor and texture. The sides were the best part, presented well and decent flavor. Dessert was cute and filling. Service staff trying way too hard with pleasantries over service but it was a Christmas visit. Maybe a good one off visit while at National Harbor but quality vs cost means I won't return even for the great peach tea.
