Franklins is a great place to go with kids. They are prepared for the chaos! The food varies by what you get. Standard bar fair is best, and the home style dishes are great.
Such fun family restaurant and pub. Great beers. Entertaining general store and toy store attached. Warm and inviting place to gathering with friends.
Super interesting store with tons of different things - best stuffed animals, greeting cards, wine, & there's so much stuff you'll never see it all. Frequently get new things maybe? There's also a restaurant with a popping atmosphere. They get busy on Friday & Saturday so be aware. There's paid parking next to the restaurant.
We LOVE this restaurant. The menu is loaded with interesting and delicious food. BONUS - there is a one of a kind store connected to it. You can get everything from greeting cards to toys to wine there.
The general store is super interesting with a lot of things you don't see everywhere including candy items. The restaurant is great, the food is great. You can see the huge beer vats through a glass window from the top floor.
The things that makes it a four star instead of a five star are a) it can get very noisy. Once it fills up with people you can barely hear the person you're sitting with without yelling, b) the service can be spotty. Sometimes it's fast and efficient. Other times it's slow and sometimes there is even a long, long wait to get in and c) paid parking. You have to pay a machine for the numbered spot you take. Sometimes it's working, other times, not. I've been lucky. I've never gotten a ticket until a rainy New Year's Eve. I got dinged for $25. There is plenty of parking, though.
It's definitely a "go to"place, though.
