Iron Rooster College Park

It is Mother's Day, and this place was rocking! We made reservations. We were seated right away. We were greeted at our table instantly. The manager came by to say Happy Mother's Day and thanked me for spending it there. He also gave me a gift. So thoughtful! We ordered, and our food came out hot within 5-10 min. I had the pancakes and crab hash! So delicious. Around the table, we have the crab Benny, chicken and waffles, and breakfast quesadilla. All scrumptious! We will be back to this location.

I had driven by several times by Iron Rooster and never had been to breakfast. So today was the day to try this University of Maryland Campus staple. Located inside U of M's The Hotel, Iron Rooster is minimalistically decorated. Dark wood benches and subway tiles plus a lot of "rooster" knick-knacks complete the relaxed, casual ambiance. I sat at the bar and was almost immediately attended to with water, coffee and the menu.
The menu is extensive and very breakfast-centric. My served shared that they just added a supper menu, which adds some other things like steaks and salads.
I decided to order the Breakfast Combo which consisted of eggs (I had them fried), sausage patties, your choice of 1/2 French toast or waffle (I got the French toast, with maple butter). The eggs were like I ordered, and the French toast was outstanding. The sausage patties were a tad overcooked, so they were unpleasantly hard and crispy. The coffee was not spectacular. The service was friendly and helpful.

Dining at this restaurant was an awesome experience. I had been wanting to go ever since it opened, and it did not disappoint. It was a busy Saturday morning, but I had made a reservation and was seated right away. I had breakfast on my mind and chose the Crabby Omelet. To my surprise and delight, it showed up with potatoes and onions. They were so delicious! My friend had a Belgian waffle with strawberries and a side of bacon and loved it! We were very satisfied. Our server, Max, was pleasant, and so were the other workers there with whom we interacted. It was a delightful experience, and I plan to return soon.

I went for their soft opening and it was the 1st day with their liquor license! The drink menu was limited since they just got the license but the mimosas we had were perfect!
When you walk in you can literally taste the air and it makes you want to try everything! I tried the Breakfast Nachos, Old Bay & honey fried chicken sandwich, and the classic breakfast with French toast! We loved the food and are excited to try more!
The staff was very helpful, the managers came to check on us and get feed back! Y’all should definitely give them a try ! Great food & great atmosphere !

The WOW factor for sure! Very, very impressed with the layout, service, attentiveness and the FOOD!! Many thanks to Manager Daniel and our server Alia for making sure we were satisfied and knew all our options (and there are many).

My wife and I had heard great things about this new location for Iron Rooster ( in The Hotel in College Park, MD.. right across the street from the University of Maryland campus), and we were not disappointed. Loved their selection but we decided to go with the Crab Hash (I had scrambled eggs on top, wife had 2 eggs over easy). Wow!!! Fantastic flavor, great mix of meat, potatoes and crab.. with Old Bay seasoning. Absolutely perfect!! Very filling (we did have to take the remainder home.. a lot of food for the money!
Daniel came by to check on us and was busy making sure every table was happy. Alia was very attentive to our needs and her suggestions were spot on. Thank you both. We will be back… often.. and with friends too!!
