“It is a newly opened restaurant. 👍The decor is modern, clean, and comfortable, making it great for gatherings with colleagues or friends, for business meetings, or simply for catching up. 👍One of the signature dishes is the spicy fried pig's trotters, which are perfectly seasoned, with tender and not greasy skin and tendons, highly recommended. 👍The cumin lamb stir-fry features tender lamb without any gaminess, also highly recommended. 👌The shredded pork with garlic sauce is authentically Sichuan-style, though a bit sweet for my taste. Those who enjoy sweeter flavors should love it. 👍The stir-fried shredded potatoes are crispy and flavorful. 👍The crispy chicken has a crunchy exterior and tender meat, definitely recommended. “Fantastic dining experience! The freshness and quality of the meat were outstanding, definitely not your average cheap cuts. The flavor was superb, enhanced by their unique sauces and seasonings. The pineapple steak is my favorite. The attention to detail was evident as they even took Polaroid photos for us to cherish the moment. Can’t believe they have a full bar here! “This was my first time trying the food at this new place. I ordered the gyro. The cashier gave me the options to choose what kind of meat I’d like on the gyro I picked the lamb which btw is an extra 2 dollars. He asked how I wanted the meat cooked I told the cashier well done. I sat inside in one of the stools they have and after about 30 minutes of waiting which I’d like to add that the cashier told me it was gonna be a Total of 5 to 8 minute wait. No one was at the counter I grabbed the attention of a guy in the back who I think was cooking. Turns out my gyro was ready. And I had been there waiting for 30 freaking minutes. My back was facing the cash register so no one working there had the audacity to hollar at me saying my order is ready. I will also add that when I was waiting on the stools a man walked in to order and no one was at the register this man had to hollar for someone at least twice for someone to come from out the back and take his order. Keep in mind this is all around 11:40am and it’s not busy. This is not a good look. Now to my gyro. I gotta say I was disappointed. Firstly, the gyro I ordered looks nothing like gyro I see on the menu. The picture of the gyro looked more fuller with a green chilly which mine didn’t come with. Was lacking on the white sauce. My lamb wasn’t cooked well done like I asked it was still pink inside the meat. I will say tho, that the flavor of the meat was decent. Was lacking red onions. For this business to keep stable and have good reviews they need to make sure someone is at the register to take peoples orders and communicate to each other and to the customer when the food is ready! Overall I give this place a 3 star experience.”

“On our way home and decided to try out this new spot. The food was delicious!! Service was friendly and quick. We tried their deviled eggs which were great! We devoured them before I remembered to take a picture. For our meals, we ordered the Chicken and Cheese which is their version of the Philly chicken cheesesteak. It was really good!! We also had the Terrapin Burger which was their mushroom Swiss burger. Also delicious. Fries are super crispy.. all in all great experience. Will definitely be back.”

“As a company event we were treated extremely well with excellent service and prompt attention to clean up. The food was surprisingly good for a bar food type menu. We were treated to bbq wings, pulled pork sliders, pizza and tenders. All were fresh tasting and not frozen. There was corn muffins. Cesar salad and corn on the cob as sides. Again all were fresh and delicious. The bowling was a blast with our company taking 20 lanes there was room for another large group. Drinks were on point and not weak at all so be careful. The game room was cool but I couldn't add money to my card after numerous attempts. Could have asked one of the very helpful attendants but I was lazy. Really had a nice time. Great place for a large event with plenty to do to occupy your guest.”

“Dining at this restaurant was an awesome experience. I had been wanting to go ever since it opened, and it did not disappoint. It was a busy Saturday morning, but I had made a reservation and was seated right away. I had breakfast on my mind and chose the Crabby Omelet. To my surprise and delight, it showed up with potatoes and onions. They were so delicious! My friend had a Belgian waffle with strawberries and a side of bacon and loved it! We were very satisfied. Our server, Max, was pleasant, and so were the other workers there with whom we interacted. It was a delightful experience, and I plan to return soon.”

“Fast mediterranean concept - a new competitor to Cava in College Park. Portion size is excellent. Great amount of chicken which was delicious and well seasoned. Veggies were super fresh. Couscous base was a disappointment, as it wasn’t fully cooked and instead had a weird clumpy crunch. Go with the rice base. As for the restaurant itself, very basic layout with some seating. Employees could be more welcoming and enthusiastic especially in the first week of opening. Most were on their phones. With Taim being pricier than Cava, it’s all a matter of preference. Worth checking this place out to decide for yourself.”

“Cheese steak is an interesting word because it conjures up different images based on where you are or where you're from. In the DMV you're more likely to hear it called a steak and cheese to differentiate it from its nearby Philadelphian compatriot. Tokoa makes a great sandwich, but it's neither representative of the local culinary treat or its northern neighbor. The seeded sesame bun toasted in garlic puts a very unique spin on things. I had the medium jalapeno cheese steak and it was delicious. A good meat-to-bread ratio, hot, and perfectly melted cheese. The fact that I had to pay extra for tomatoes told me that this was no regular DMV sandwich but the fact that only one sandwich on the menu comes with Whiz tells me that it's also not a Philadelphia competitor. It is uniquely Tokoa and very satisfying. Also, the fries are some of the best I've had recently. Lightly salted, very crisp. I'd go back just for them. And the strawberry lemonade took it all on home. Great place to go to and to quote the Terminator, "I'll be back."”

“I LOVE me a good steak and I am so happy to share that you can get a GREAT steak at GrillMarx in College Park. I've been to some of the best Steakhouses in the DMV, BLT, The Palm, Charlie Palmer's, Morton's and so on. Yes, I'm about to go there; the steaks at GrillMarx are at that same level but at a lower price point which is always a win win. I had the Kona Steak and it was fabulous. Cooked and seasoned to perfection! But let's take a step back because there is sooo much more to this restaurant then just the steaks. When we arrived GrillMarx we were greeted by Allison who was great. Her energy and vibe set the tone for the rest of the evening. It was refreshing to see a hostess that was not overwhelmed or distracted. One who actually had a smile on their face and made you feel welcome. Thanks Allison! Our waitress Casey took the handoff from Allison and proceeded to take our dining experience to another level. Her attention to detail and ability to address our every need, coupled with another positive attitude and great smile added to our overall experience. She guided us thru the menu and was flawless with her execution of being our culinary guide for the evening. Thanks Casey!!! So back to the food. Must haves on the menu, the mac & cheese and cesar salad were both on point. I already mentioned the steaks. Dessert was great too. Had the Apple Crisp which exceeded my expectations. The drinks where also top notch Their take on the Moscow Mule with Glenmorangie was exceptional and their Smoked Old Fashion is a game changer. “Stopped in here today because my car was making a weird grinding sound. I thought maybe there was debris trapped underneath it but I couldn't see anything. The convenience store attendant walked me out to talk to the mechanic who said they would put it up on the lift and take a look underneath. It was VERY busy with every bay full but they got my car in there pretty quickly (~20 min). I was waiting on the sidewalk in 90+ degree heat, the convenience store attendant came out to offer me a seat inside in the A/C. So nice! Turned out I had some branches stuck underneath the car which they were able to remove easily and see there was no damage. Best part- the mechanic refused to take any money for the repair! He just asked me to please come back sometime for an oil change, tire rotation, or other service. You bet- I will DEFINITELY go back to this Shell station!!!”

“The food is essentially as good as it gets for kosher college food (That doesn't mean it's great, just better than comparable places). Breakfast is great by all standards though. The space itself is really nice, and the couches are the comfiest on campus (I have yet to find couches comfier). It does get very packed on Friday nights, but other than that the size is very large. Great place to hang out with friends, get work done, and eat meals.”

“Hands down the best fries I have ever eaten! My sister and I visited on opening day, and everything was on point. PERIOD. There was a little bit of a wait due to it being opening day; however, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. There were so many flavors to choose from, along with different dipping sauces to compliment the fries. There's something on the menu for literally everyone. If you want savory, they got it. If you want sweet, they got it. They got it all! I can't wait to visit again with friends & family! Honey Garlic Surf & Turf (shrimp & steak) is definitely my fav! But I've also had the BBQ Bacon Ranch Chicken fries which was equally delicious.”
