Tokoa Cheesesteaks

Cheese steak is an interesting word because it conjures up different images based on where you are or where you're from. In the DMV you're more likely to hear it called a steak and cheese to differentiate it from its nearby Philadelphian compatriot.
Tokoa makes a great sandwich, but it's neither representative of the local culinary treat or its northern neighbor. The seeded sesame bun toasted in garlic puts a very unique spin on things. I had the medium jalapeno cheese steak and it was delicious. A good meat-to-bread ratio, hot, and perfectly melted cheese. The fact that I had to pay extra for tomatoes told me that this was no regular DMV sandwich but the fact that only one sandwich on the menu comes with Whiz tells me that it's also not a Philadelphia competitor. It is uniquely Tokoa and very satisfying.
Also, the fries are some of the best I've had recently. Lightly salted, very crisp. I'd go back just for them. And the strawberry lemonade took it all on home. Great place to go to and to quote the Terminator, "I'll be back."

Came Here To Grab A Bite For Lunch. I Ordered The #12 (Terp Chicken Sub). Food Was Delicious For A Great Price. Food Was Ready In Under 10 Minutes. Staff Was Polite & Greeted Guests With A Smile. Dining Area Was Very Clean. Would Definitely Recommend.

One of the most premier tastes in College Park. Out of all the eateries in College Park this has got to be one of the best places I’ve been to. Compared to many of the Philly Cheesesteaks I have had in Philadelphia this might honestly be up there with the best if not better. Will be here at least once a week if possible

I am so glad that this restaurant has opened, my first time today trying the food and this restaurant did not disappoint. The chicken tenders and fries are fresh and full of flavor. I also had the pleasure of tasting their lemonade that is made in house which was refreshing and tasted like a freshly squeezed lemonade. 10 out of 10 will come back.
