Marylou's

Today was my first time here. I came with my sister for dinner. We were so excited to visit this place after hearing and reading so many reviews about this place. The atmosphere is good, but the music is so loud that you can’t hear yourself or the other people you are with. The service was excellent, although this was Erin's 2nd day on the job. She was very professional and accommodating as much as she could. We asked for sweet tea, but unfortunately, they did not have it, and then the soda machines were down, so if you’re looking for something non-alcoholic, they can't accommodate you. I had The chicken and waffle, and my sister had the deep-fried salmon with mac & cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. However, my sister noticed she did not receive cornbread and was told it would take 15 minutes to come out, which was supposed to come out with the food she ordered. We ate it, but it did not taste as if it was thoroughly cooked. After eating the cornbread, my sister and I felt a little nauseous. I will return, but it will be to order and go home.

I went to Mary Lou’s for the first time on Sunday for brunch and the experience was overwhelming. For one the music is WAY too loud! There was a band playing and you could barely hear yourself think. My next issue is the service, the waitress was extremely slow like she was overwhelmed as well and lastly the food 🥴 I ordered the lamb chops. I never seen such small lamb chops in my life, someone actually compared them to frog legs! I love supporting my black businesses but we have to do better.

We had been hearing about the Vibe at Marylou's for weeks, and decided to stop by on a whim. The atmosphere was inviting, professional and friendly. And I can't say enough about the food. The only regret that I have is that I didn't purchase more of the delicious entries served there. I had the chicken, and then the fish. At some point I had to stop, so I will be back. There is definitely a "Vibe" at Marylou's ❤️

My time at MaryLou’s was amazing!!!
I love their vibe. The only thing I had a problem with was the music was too loud. The customers and serving staff had to scream and get really close to hear each other. However overall to me 9.9 out of 10. Very nice restaurant. The band and DJ were great. The bartender CAB makes outstanding drinks and interacts great with the bar customers. I had shrimp and grits and scrambled eggs. Very good, seasoned really well, very reasonable prices. I’m so proud this black owned business is off to an outstanding start. I pray the best for them and abundant success.
