Excellent experience. Small but cozy space, great food, and a staff that takes customer service seriously. My husband mentioned that he purchased cookies when the restaurant first opened and they were good. The cashier stated that they are baked on certain days and they were out. The manager overheard the conversation and by the time we finished our meal, they were ready with hot, fresh baked cookies.
So good to have this restaurant added to out neighborhood. Needless to say we returned the next morning to pick up biscuits - they did not disappoint. A bit pricey but the food is outstanding!
Great new food option in Fort Washington. The staff is always pleasant and accomodating. My favorite item on the menu is the fried catfish. It's always fresh and hot.
Hopefully it sticks around because there aren't many places in the Fort Washington area besides the national harbor that compare. Good.job guys
My dining experience at Milk and Honey in Fort Washington was exceptional from start to finish. After being underwhelmed by the jambalaya at a different location, I was hesitant on what to choose, but I decided to go for for the catfish and grits, I was pleasantly surprised. The meal surpassed my expectations. The food was so fresh, filling, and flavorful.
The staff there (Patrick in particular) as he took my order had remarkable patience and attentiveness throughout my visit. I’m excited to return.
UPDATE: Went back and they had real utensils! Only problem was that my food wasn’t very good this time. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and expected to have real southern spice. There was no spice at all. Very strange… It’s possible that the kitchen may have forgotten an important ingredient. $23 plus tip up front. I was really cheering for this place and I hope this was an isolated incident.
Good quality and huge portions. Only issue is the cheap plastic utensils. I understand that it is fast casual, but please look into better silverware (like the old Chipotle silverware… Only a few cents more expensive).
This is our experience a couple saturday nites ago. I tried ordering online because it said a 20 min wait, which is fine, but when I submitted our order, the site crashed. So I snapshot our order and sent my husband inside to order/wait. 40 min later, I'm getting uptight (in car with our dog, hungry). Then a rush of folks are inside waiting for their orders. okay. Great for our new local shop, that's good. We finally got our order after ~45 min and go home. My husband's order was okay. The top side of my French Toast was darker than I'd like, and totally burnt on the underside. Plus a weird raw-goo texture on the inside. I make french toast and unsure how that's done! flash burn? Maybe we'll try again on another nite. Pictures of my sad French Toast attached.
