Well, we have been waiting for the opportunity to go to Three Anchors and all I can say is WOW! I have eaten at a lot of places in Ocean City, but this was definitely an above average experience!! The food is incredible!!! Not the normal “resort food” like so many places in OC. Get out and try them. You will not be disappointed.
Insanely good food!! I got the blackened swordfish and it was to die for. The collard greens, cornbread , and onion potato patty it came with made me feel like I was back home in the south. The sauce that was in the dish was also amazing. The service was great and the entire restaurant was very clean and appealing. Great view of coastal for people watching without the sun being in your eyes. For the amount of food you get and the great quality, the prices are expected and totally worth it. Will be back again!
Still new and mostly excellent, but a little spotty on cooking speed turnaround and size of portions (B). Service very smart and attentive (A). Most dishes we tried first visit were delicious and satisfying (B). Menu looks very creative and enticing, unlike usual fried seafood tourist fare you can get elsewhere (A+). Atmosphere clean and modern — upstairs airy and sheltered from harsh sun or rain (A+). Portions smaller than usual places but encourages trying more dishes and appetizers to share.
Three Anchors is not your typical Ocean City, Maryland dining experience.
It should come as no surprise the owners of this establishment are veteran worldwide surfers who have brought back flavorful combinations from their global surfing jaunts.
Whether it be a touch of Caribbean soul, Asian-inspired flavors, Polynesian tang, or Central American spice, the menu at Three Anchors offers a world of sophisticated and flavorful opportunities.
Additionally the atmosphere is modern, clean, and tasteful. We dined on the open deck upstairs which provided us a true alfresco experience.
Our server Hannah, was personable and attentive to our needs. Additionally she was well-versed in the menu; allowing her to make informed recommendations.
I thoroughly enjoyed the seared tuna over a chilled buckwheat style noodle bowl, which generously used a wide variety of fresh ingredients to make this entree flavorful and delicious.
We enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning on our next trip to the beach. In short, Three Anchors is far and away the best new restaurant in Ocean City!
Best restaurant in OC! Brand new, beautiful, spotless restaurant with a good atmosphere. We got a bunch of appetizers that were delicious: arugula salad, shrimp, calamari, and oysters. I had the apple bacon grilled cheese on pretzel bread for dinner. YUM! A very unique sandwich that was flavorful and filling. Three Anchors has the best fresh-squeezed orange crushes in town!
