“Prices are reasonable. Food is good. Sit upstairs for an entertaining view of the teeming masses of Vineyard travelers at the Steamship Authority. Word is Carly Simon can occasionally be spotted at the Leeside. You'll be all set if you are into Bud Lite. For a decent drink, go across the street to the Landfall.”

“A group of friends and I have been coming to this place since sometime in April for Music Bingo. Music Bingo was great, the bartender Brad was amazing, but we've unfortunately had bad experiences with the food and waitress two of the last few times we've visited. The first time, she was snippy with my friend who asked if the Caesar dressing had garlic (she's pregnant and garlic makes her stomach upset), and she forgot to bring water for one of our party after being asked twice. The salad was brought out without dressing after Ranch had been requested instead, and the salad was bitter and the lettuce was yellow. We thought this was a one-off and maybe the waitress had a rough day, so we moved on. Last night, we went in for the final night of music bingo. My friend made brownies and brought them in as one of other groups was permitted to bring in a birthday cake before and shared, and we wanted to repay the favor. The same waitress as the other week told us we couldn't have the food and that we couldn't simply put it away behind the table, we had to take it out to the car. This was annoying but not a huge deal as it appears it's up to restaurant discretion as to whether or not outside food will be brought in, but the inconsistency was frustrating. My friend took the food out amidst snide comments from the waitress about the point of being there being to order food (no, we just liked music bingo, and we had always ordered food or drinks in the past anyway). She then went to take our orders and asked our pregnant friend what she wanted. Seeing as she's pregnant, she wasn't going to order alcohol, but when she asked for water and a slice of lemon, the waitress responded very abruptly by saying "You HAVE to order SOMETHING to drink that you pay for." After we protested she caved in and blamed the management for her response. Management or not, her attitude didn't leave any great feelings. There's no reason someone shouldn't be given a simple glass of water if that's what they want. I don't know what our table did to piss anyone off, seeing as we've been nothing but friendly before and have always ordered something, but being treated like this was entirely unnecessary. We will not be returning now that music bingo is over; we may have had our service been kinder, but there's no point in giving somewhere our money that treats us like this. The ONLY reason I'm giving three stars, rather than two stars, is because Brad was amazing, made great drinks, and was always sweet to our group.”

“What a delightful throwback! Excellent service, old nautical decor and outstanding food. Lunch for us on keto diet: flavorful swordfish on a lovely salad. Large portion and not expensive. Took some home for another meal. Yum.”

“Red’s Restaurant & Lounge can be difficult to find if you’re not accessing the restaurant from the beach. Although some reviews on here are negative, we had a good lunch experience at Red’s. While the service may not be the best, the food and drinks were good and we enjoyed the view with our lunch. Overall we had a great experience at Red’s and enjoyed their food.”
