Excellent meal and service in a beautiful setting.
My son took me for the Mother's Day brunch. It was my first time there. It was wonderful.
Food is always Excellent. Caesar salad and the tuna are a must-have. Sunday brunch fills quick. Eggs Benedict, best ever!
Excellent - both the food and service was outstanding. We started with lovely crusty sour dough bread. The crab cake appetizer was about the tastiest crab cake I ever had, and I had quite a few of them. My dinner companion loved the potato and leek soup cleaning the soup plate with bread to get every last bit of it. My duck au vin was excellent, and do was the trout. For desert I had lovely apple strudel, the hazelnut chocolate desert I hear was good. We both liked our deserts so much that we did not share... A very good experience, we will be back.
We enjoyed a superb dinner on Friday evening, June 30, 2017. After reviewing the menu for vegan options, my husband and I asked the waitress if the Chef could prepare a dish with just risotto/pasta and seasonal, local vegetables. The hostess/waitress was very responsive - assured us they could honor our request and checked with the chef to confirm. The presentation and results exceeded our expectations -- the plate had a selection of fresh, grilled, seasonal vegetables surrounding the risotto. It was delicious and reasonably priced (no extra charge). Thank you, again, to Chef Alexander Smith. This was not our first time at GB -- we have always had a satisfying dinner experience here; however, it was the first time we requested a vegan dish beyond the pasta/risotto menu offerings. I highly recommend GB and its gracious staff! (The cocktails, too, were excellent.)
