“A lovely dinner with dishes full of love and a very welcoming cozy atmosphere. It’s evident that this restaurant cares about quality and their customers! Our server was a wonderful lady. I got the fettuccini pesto and it was delicious, the perfect amount of serving. My brother who prides himself in his own cooking of pasta dishes, said that the fettuccini Alfredo was among the top he has had. (He’s a tough critic) Dessert was spectacular as well! The chocolate cake with an ice cream pop in the middle was the perfect way to end the night. Definitely will be back here”

“We saw this place was nearby and how incredible the view looked, and based on that and reviews, we gave it a try. I ordered the almond chicken, and my boyfriend had a steak. Both were delicious! The chicken was amazing, the rice was incredible (I don’t even usually eat rice), and the fried were perfect. Crunchy and fresh. Also, the bread and bean salad they gave us pre meal was so delicious and fresh. I wish this place was closer because it would be my favorite restaurant!”

“My wife and I had dinner here on a Tuesday night in mid-April 2019. We are senior citizens and tourists,visiting Great Barrington for the first time. The dinner was excellent and we are so glad we chose the Public House. The mussels are outstanding and are served with a thicker-than average sauce with coconut flavoring. My wife's trout dinner was superb. The fish had crispy skin and it came with risotto and brussel sprouts (very tasty). For dessert the brownie a la mode was perfect. Good service. The place is popular and it got crowded as the evening went on. The room is lovely and historically renovated, and the exterior storefront is very attractive, as well. The restaurant is on the liveliest block in town - Railroad St. We highly recommend this eatery.”
