Dinner with friends the other nite. Wonderful atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Food was wonderful. What a nice addition to the area!!!
We went for dinner soon after it opened. The good was all excellent - we're foodies so quite picky about flavors, use of herbs etc, quality of meats, vegetables. And the wine list too!!
The service was OK but it was clear everyone was new, everyone was trying very hard, but without a rhythm; so service was a little robotic instead of warm. We're definitely going back though, we did try a few nights ago but they had a wedding party!! We learned that on arrival, it wasn't on their web site☹️
My impression is great place, beautiful building, accessible location. Excellent and imaginative menu, nicely presented. And it looks like their website now warns of wedding parties etc, that's great.
If the service is as good now as it should be then with that menu and overall attention to detail, then the Grove is a winner!!
No doubt the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, great vibe, and welcoming bar. Only sampled the apps which were very good, however incredibly disappointed in the cocktails: Bramble, Lavender Gimlet, and Meyer Collins all tasted overly acidic, not well blended. Each drink had a base of lime or lemon which over powered the other components of the drink so you couldn't taste the lavender etc. I love my cocktails and at these prices they need to be spot on as they cost as much as some food. Please go back to the drawing board on these, way too sour. The service/bartenders are great and will definitely give it another go although may have to stick to wine. Also the signage is not conducive to actually being able to see it, you won't get anyone off the beaten track coming here bc they'll drive right by that tiny representation...
A fresh take on regional favorites- on the way to and from some of the best destinations north of Boston! The Grilled Oysters were so tasty, the fresh pasta is delicious- and if you like Rye Whiskey you need to try the “Rob Rye”. I’ve been for breakfast, lunch and dinner- there is really something for everyone, including my kid who just loved the coloring page, and her pancakes!
I enjoyed brunch at the Grove with my husband, infant, and sister. The atmosphere was fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful with fantastic lighting and comfortable seating and a very high barn ceiling. The brunch drinks were all very good, great taste and not too sweet. We particularly liked the Mexico. The food was excellent as far as flavors and beautifully presented. My husband had the french toast, I had the niciose salad, and my sister had the breakfast sandwich. The English muffins are apparently made from scratch. It was honestly the best English muffin I've ever had.
