“Amazing food and friendly waitress, but the service was extremely slow. While we know there may be more of a wait for farm to table dining, 45 minutes from ordering to when our food was served was a bit too long for our preference, especially when there are only two other tables occupied. Our appetizer was good but nothing over the top. Our entrees were extremely good. Every place in town had a 30-40 minute wait but there were many tables available here, I can only assume it’s due to the wait time between ordering and receiving food. We waited nearly 20 minutes after finishing and still didn’t have a waitress ask if we wanted the check. We were hoping to get a good bite to eat and have a drink but weren’t looking to dine all night - we were there for over 1.5 hours, nearly 2. I hope they can expedite food a little faster because this place needs to stay! We won’t be back unless I hear word that wait time for food is less.”

“Alvah stone is a reminder that fantastic curated dining experiences can exist outside of large cities. The cocktail menu was very enticing, consisting of timeless classics and bold originals alike. Their draft list covered all bases, and they had a premium selection of wines. Overall the bar program was on point. My girlfriend and I chose to sit outside, which has a stunning view of the river. It seems to be built from the husk of an old Mill, adding a lovely rustic feel to the whole experience. Our server was knowledgeable and patient. I really wanted to try their Alvah stone feast, four courses (chef's choice), but my girlfriend didn't want to. It seemed like the best value at 39 per guest. Plates were small but forced you to consider every bite. The salmon tartare and gnocchi were delectable. We finished with the steak which was the best steak I've had in the 413. Overall thanks for helping me cap off the perfect date. Take your loved one here if you want to show them you care.”
