Porta Pizza Co.

I was worried after Bertucci's closed down that nothing could take its place. But after dining at Porta, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food was exactly what you paid for. The decor is very cool, I love what they did with the place.

I will definitely be coming back and I recommend Porta to anyone who misses the Bertucci's.

Very pleasantly surprised with Porta. Absolutely delicious pizza and crust. Our server was super accommodating and kind. The space is big enough to house a roller skating rink (or a dance club? Hint hint) so it seems a little unusual visually, but as a patron said to me as she was leaving - “don’t let the looks fool you, the food is excellent!” - and she was right!

Absolutely love the place. Great atmosphere, great music, and even greater food. The staff was super nice when I dined there and the drinks have good prices. Last Saturday was packed, so the bar was a little busy. It’s incredible how much they managed on the first day. Worth the wait for sure!

I got a margarita pizza while I was there and it was absolutely to die for. I didn’t realize it was brick oven, which was awesome! The crust was perfect and the toppings were beyond fresh.

This is a restaurant clearly not intended for us, two elderly retirees. It was full on opening night of undergraduates, celebrating "Blarney Blowout" (which we'd never even heard of). So first things first, we were greeted with true courtesy by the management and staff, seated in an area that was (relatively) less noisy, and at all times looked after exceptionally well. The food was OK and cheap -- obviously (quite rightly) aimed at the UMass students, who have been virtually barred from the center of town that caters by both price and taste for a quite different market (people like us). The wine was exceptionally good for the price, and at all times we were wonderfully attended to on a very busy night. When we were driving away, two waiters dashed out with the handbag that my wife had left behind. They didn't wait for the tip that we would certainly have given them. Will we be back? Yes, because although it isn't our kind of restaurant (and why should it be?) I've never been taken better care of.
