I go to Shanghai, China quite a bit for work. I was trying to show my parents a good example of Shanghai's famous Xiao Long Bao (soup dumpling). Great service, great environment, great food, very authentic. Would go again.

The fried rice, chicken, and noodles are authentic as you can possibly get. I’ve visited China, Hong Kong, and a handful of other Asian countries and the food tastes *exactly* as it did there.

I take away 1 star because the service was not that great. The servers are very nice and helpful but you have to make an extra effort to ask what the ingredient offerings are, how you should cook the ingredients, and for a lot of the staples that you would expect to not have to ask for (refills on drinks, to go containers, cutlery, etc).

It is very unclear what the process is and the hotpot is too expensive. It is $10 per large broth and average price of $5 per ingredient. The average price per person for hotpot in our party was $35. We did not overdo it either. So I think they will need to bring their prices down if they wish to stay in business.

At the time of this review, you cannot buy alcohol at this establishment. We were offered water only. The food is very good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Hope this can be improved. This place has a lot of potential!!

Mixed — some nice dishes, but others which are really lacking. In one case, I’d never seen so many ingredients mixed together result in so little flavor.

A spiritual successor to (but a few steps below from) the prior restaurant in this space, Chuan Joao Bistro

Decor is nice and comfortable. +1 star for the great service

This is the best Chinese restaurant in town! We went out to try a new place to eat, and our choice was rewarded with the most succulent authentic Shanghai flavored food. This is the type of food you will find in a big city but at affordable price. The manager came to the table to answer our questions and his suggestions were a hit! In fact, we were so impressed with his explanation on how the chef cooked/prepared/seasoned what we ordered, that we had the honor to meet him--- it was his father!! The best part, you can bring YOB! We are coming back to try other dishes they already recommended for our next visit!! We highly recommend this place without a doubt!
