“Surprisingly yummy place. My wife and I were really just looking for a quick, local bite to eat in between errands. We decided to give John Brewer’s Tavern a go. Overall, the food was above average and pretty good! I’d say the pricing could have been a little lower to match the quality, but the portions more than made up for me feeling like it was too expensive The service was incredible. “Food is good as well as the drinks. Depending on who the bartender is you can enjoy your time or wait n wait for your next drink. There are a couple of female bartenders and one is better at providing service than the other in my opinion and from several times of venturing there to eat. I prefer the seafood soup; wings are OK as well as the tacos. Not sure about anything else as I have only eaten what I mentioned above. Definitely try the seafood soup on Sundays--it is very gd.”

“OUTSTANDING! Let me start by saying I've been once and for 5 stars I must evaluate consistency so don't assume 4 starts is bad. I will be back and will likely update to 5 soon. The food was amazing. Having never had Cuban food before and being a vegetarian I was a bit nervous, but that was unfounded. Plenty of options available for me and flavor combinations I have never experienced. We did 3 rounds of tapas and drinks and there isn't a single thing I didn't love. Our waitress Christina was fabulous, offering suggestions and being patient with my indecisive team. She was on top of everything all the time, including filling our water despite having a water carafe on the table (it's those fine touches that just stand out). Never felt rushed even though we were there for almost 3 hours. I'd have taken photos but they are meaningless, stop reading this review and go there right now!”
