“I love the food and the atmosphere. I always have the shrimp cocktail which most people do not know is on the menu. It is a must to ask for. It is a Mexican version, eaten cold it has tomato liquid, shrimp, cilantro, avocado, onion, chilis, lime and now cucumber. I ask for no cucumbers it becomes more like a gazpacho I prefer their cocktail version. It is delicious! You have enough for two meals it is so filling. A must ask for!”

“Sat at the bar. Staff were friendly and able to provide alternative suggestions to address my food allergy. The food was served in a reasonable amount of time and was well prepared. I had the beer braised short ribs and they were fall apart good and quite tasty, just the way I like. I will definitely go back again.”

“Venue was beautiful. The outside area, patio, pond, pergola and garden area was perfect for cocktail hour and photos! The wedding planner Danny was amazing, and the gentleman who preforms the ceremony was great as well. They offered a full bar, specialized cocktails for the event, bridal suite. The venue had large windows overlooking the pond and garden area was gorgeous. The food was amazing as well. Everything was well cooked and had great flavors!”

“Mak's roast beef and Pizza is my favorite pizza place. They just recently changed to make the pizza a little thicker however when I go in I ask them to do their traditional thin crust. The thin crust is delicious. I make sure I get just the cheese for one pizza and then we always get one with a topping no. The reason I get one with just cheese is because of the flavoring with the Neapolitan Cheese's. They are absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this pizza place versus other however you need to like an oily type of pizza which I do versus an Italian style pizza. If you like an oily type of pizza more of a Greek style pizza this is your place to go. Definitely order more than one order one cheese so you can definitely taste the flavors. And price is fair”

“To be perfectly honest this place while it has good food, lacks service. I tried this place for the first time a few days ago and tried calling at 5pm to order take out. They would not pick up and I called 12 times within 20 minutes. When I showed up and placed my take out order I was told it would be 45 minutes. 45 minutes later I had to ask about my order and at that point they started on it. When it did come out one of the items was not what i ordered Two folks before me waited over an hour for their take out. Now the thing that was really annoying is that I literally watched the young kid taking the take out orders ignore the phone when he could have answered it. In fact when the phone rang and he was standing behind the counter he would deliberately walk away. The entire time I was there they ignored every single phone call! The folks eating in had wrong dishes go to them and the entire place was just completely disorganized. Customers finished and ready to leave had to come up and pay their check at the counter since no one would go to their table. Now these folks were nice and I believe it is family run but they need to get their act together.”

“This place sits on the side of the road in pretty desolate Bellingham, although a busy street, its in the middle of a field not really close to anything else. I had heard the place was good so I figured I would give it a try for both dinner and ice cream. This is the only ice cream place around for miles so you can imagine it gets pretty crowded. For dinner, the menu is your typical summer menu, with tons of selections of grilled items like hot dogs, grilled cheese, burgers and seafood. I ordered the fish and chips and it was excellent and hit the spot. The burgers are cooked to order and hot dogs are two choices, beef or Kayem. Fries are excellent The ice cream menu on the other hand is very large, with tons of soft serve and hard ice cream flavors, sundaes and even frappes and shakes and Italian ice and frozen lemonade. I ordered the Reese's Sundae and it was delicious and was just the right size. The prices here are just right, what you would expect ($30 dinner for 4) and the staff is as fast as they could be with the crowds that emerge on this place on a summer night.”
