Great spot (and one of the only spots) for crab in Boston. Compared to the plain steam boil of Southeastern seafood, this style is cajun loaded, and served within a bag that’s shaken up with other sides. I’d opt for snow crab, and order the house shakin’ seasoning. Mixed drinks taste great, and are best to share. Other beverages are available on tap.
The overall atmosphere is a phones-down, group chat and sharing space. Usually there’s plenty of people there (but not over crowded) on any day of the week. There’s also an app you can connect it to for discounts on your bill.
Only place I go to for crab here!
Great seafood place, reasonable prices, friendly staff. We tried 3 different sauces on our seafood boil. The Cajun, gulf and cilantro lime. The Gulf was my favorite, just the right balance of spice and tang. We like it so much we ordered another serving! Too busy eating we forgot to take photos!
Ordered calamari po boy to go: mostly bread and very little calamari (about 6 chewy medium size pieces). Included nice tomato, lettuce, peppers and tasty sauce. Ordered with a good serving of onion rings (frozen) and cole slaw. $16. But wouldn't say best value. Choose something else on the menu...
I'm from Texas, Cajun is good but not the best I've had. Some of the best in Boston tho. Quail eggs were delicious!!
The food was AMAZING!!! The spices and everything was just perfect. Music was perfect too.
Only downside was that our waitress (not gonna single her out) was not that good. Spoke very quietly, hard to understand, I didn't get my shrimp for 20 minutes until I asked for it and then she accused me of already eating it. I asked for shrimp with heads and there was obviously no evidence that I already ate them so when she accused me of already getting them...I was ready to leave. I needed a refill for a while too but never came to check on us. Someone next to us also ordered a lobster tail with their crab legs and never got it. They asked for it but then the same waitress said that she gave it to them already and told them that she'd charge them twice. They asked for the manager and then his response was, "Well, your bag looked pretty full so there's no way it wasn't in there". The couple left after that without paying. Seems like they're trying to rip people off...
But! The food was sooo good that it made up for it. A little on the pricey side but super good.
