“What I haven't seen mentioned here yet is that this is the location of The Old Corner Bookstore! It is one of Boston’s oldest brick structures, built in 1712. The bookstore was made famous for meetings on the second floor by the likes of Nathanael Hawthorn, Harriet Beecher-Stowe, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Charles Dickens (who lived in Boston for two years) would meet and discuss poetry, politics, and literature.”

“My boyfriend and I stopped in to Anthem Kitchen and Bar while walking along the Freedom Trail. This was a great place to take a break for lunch. We ordered the lobster roll and new england clam chowder. The food was good. The Clam Chowder was amazing. I would go back just for the chowder! The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the drinks. The mixed drinks were terrible and we were told that the bartender was new. Other than that we had a good experience.”

“Nice little place, semi secluded. It is set slightly below street level in what used to be a bar at one time. What makes this place a gem is the staff. The place is kept very clean, everyone has a genuine smile! My favorite here is the jalapeno bagel. The bagels are not like the round overpriced glop you find at nearby places that recently took "Donut" out of there name. They are light, tasty and come in a variety of delicious flavors!”

I've had the food truck fave, the namesake banh mi and I've also created my own bowls. Would prefer it if they put more sauce for the rice bowls, I can tell the flavor is there but to me it's a bit too subtle. They get quite busy during lunch hour so try to come right before or after to miss the crowds!”

“I really like being able to watch my food being prepared. This location has a nice setup that lets the customer see the ingredients being put in your meal. If you see some peppers or some cheese that looks appetizing you can point to it and say "hey, gimme some of that!" and bang! They give you a pretty good amount for your dollar here, fresh ingredients and plenty of them! My favorite is the Caesar salad! One bit of advice if you dont like Caesar salads, they have a TON to choose from! Check out the menu online before you go as the lines usually move pretty quickly.”

“This place is phenomenal. When we got there was a small delay but it was no longer than 15min as they were very backed up. I went there to celebrate a birthday and they really took that theme to the next level. Not only did the host wish a happy birthday but even the waiter and also the food runner. It is a great team here and it really is worth the price. The steak options were immense and it was a delicious add on for the options of what to put on top of the steak. The mac and cheese was great and so was the desert. I never had what I ordered for desert before but it was delicious. I will definitely be coming here again for special occasions. Love this place!”
