“Kimball's has changed over the years. As locations have been added the quality and service has changed. The ice cream is very good and the portions are generous. The Kimball Special has been my favorite for over 40 years starting in the original Westford farm house location. Hasn't changed much fortunately. The food was really good when they started but not so great anymore. Got the Captain's Seafood Platter and the size was very good but the food wasn't. Scallops, fish, shrimp and clams covered the plate. The clams tasted dirty, scallops and shrimp needed some seasoning but the fish was good. The fries were the best tasting with the Cole slaw next. They used to give you some watermelon with your meal but no more for your $34. Kimball's is nice place to visit, don't expect great food, expect great ice cream. Service is fair, mostly young staff is there to do just what they have too.”

But not every visit was 100% at this location so I can't give them 5stars but I'd def choose this location over a few of the other ones”

“This was an unexpected surprise. Ample parking and a well maintained exterior welcome you, and the large volume of cars suggested it's a popular spot. Interior design is very country, with lots of wood and a wide assortment of game (bears, moose, you name it) visible throughout the place. It's informal - you're greeted by signs of 'seat yourself', and the menus are at the table when you do. Wait staff was friendly and very prompt in providing us with coffee and juice. First great surprise - the coffee is truly excellent - fragrant and bold, but not bitter or burnt, and very clearly fresh. And then there's the food. We had omelettes and a waffle, and they were nothing short of great! Eggs were moist and fluffy, veggies fresh and soft but with just the right crispness left in them. Very rich flavor, but not heavy on fat or salt. One of the better omelettes I've had in years. The waffle was excellent too, with just the right balance between crisp and fluffy, and delicious. This place is a real winner and most certainly worth a return visit. They have chosen to excel where it matters most: great, enjoyable, satisfying food.”
