Foggy's Steakhouse & Lounge

Nice place across the street from the casino. Staff was nice. Looks like this place could get very crowded but was not in early may. I ordered the 40$ special which on Saturdays is the Prime Rib. They only have it once a week so I assumed it would be awesome. It was ordered medium rare with an emphasis on the rare. It was delivered medium. The meat was also quite dry for a prime rib. For the price the quality of the prime rib was not good. My wife on the other hand had an awesome pulled pork and burger- burger. It was very tasty. Staff was nice. The steaks are cooked on a huge grill for all to see. I should have gotten a steak. Oh well live and learn.

A must-try if you’re ever near Christmas, MI. Foggy’s is usually pretty busy, but I never have an issue getting a table. I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in the area. Their steak is perfectly done (& made on a giant indoor grill - so cool!). Their salads are on point. We also had a brandy old fashioned sweet. They actually muddle their fruit (a tradition in a true old fashioned). The atmosphere is kind of loud, but it’s due to their popularity. Definitely come here for a delicious meal!

Delicious, was in the Munising area and wasn't too thrilled about the options to eat there so made the short trek here. I ordered the 36 oz. Bone-In steak and it was perfectly cooked (Medium). It took awhile but they told me in advance that it takes 45 minutes to cook a cut that big, but well worth the wait. Drinks were delicious, my wife even complimented the bartender on the long island after the 1st one, know that's saying something... If you're in the area, you can't go wrong.... stop in.

Oh my! if you are in the area I suggest you eat here if you like steaks! They are huge, and so good! Pricey a little but so worth it! I guess at certain times you can actually grill your own too, but we were there when that grill (inside grill) was not going. Plus I would rather when eating at a restaurant have someone else cook for me anyway! Part of the reason I go! But I can see how that would/might be fun with a group of friends/family. I ate the tenderloin and hubby got the New your strip. Both were fantastic! The bake potato that came out with mine was so small, and the bread was over cooked, but the waitress asked for a replacements and it was done just fine. So if something is not right, it was no issue.

The restaurant doesn't look like anything special, but trust me, the food is amazing. I have never had a more perfectly cooked steak in my life. 16oz New York strip. 1.5" thick. Seared with a slight char on the outside to give it a hint of crispness, and cooked perfectly medium on the inside with warm pink in the center. So juicy and flavorful. Had potato soup and mashed potatoes for the sides. The soup was nice and had good sized chunks of potatoes in it. The mashed potatoes were slightly sweet, probably from the potatoes or garlic used. Which gave them unique twist that belayed my usual expectations. The staff was very friendly and responsive as well.

I had asked a local for a recommendation on where to eat, and I was not disappointed. If you're visiting Munising or Pictured Rocks and are looking for a top notch meal, Foggy's is definitely the restaurant to go.
