Terrific food! Creative, modern, knowledgeable. Good, small wine list. Great drinks! Outstanding service with Eduardo! Interesting old building nicely re-done in Central Benton Harbor. Good parking.

I was greeted at the door by Leslie. She made me smile and I didn't stop until after I left for the evening. She sat me comfortably at the bar, offered both a drink and food menu, asked if I had any dietary restrictions, listed the special and offered some food suggestions. I was then greeted by both Cody and Claire behind the bar. I was treated to a delicious dirty martini after we discussed my gin and drink preferences. Again, I was asked about dietary restrictions.

I quickly noticed that the chefs were in clear view at the other end of the bar and I made my way to that end so I could watch them prepare meals. I ordered the Slow Steak. It was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked with an amazing flavor. I asked how they make the crispy potatoes and the chef explained the process to me (which I was able to attempt at home for the family and it was a HUGE hit). I sat in awe with my mouth-watering as I watched them prepare a number of different dishes as if they were a carefully crafted art sculpture. I cannot wait to try everything I saw.

Everything about my experience was top notch and, while food quality is an important factor, the customer service was just a whole different level at this establishment. They know what they're doing, they hire the right people and they train them superbly. I would recommend everyone give this new establishment a try and you will NOT be disappointed!

I had an excellent time but I will limit my rating to 4 stars because I don't have the income to visit this place for more than a special occasion. The lighting was nice and bright at the bar and candle-lit cozy at the tables. The food was excellent, and the staff had a lot of fun and pride describing and explaining their menu. I would definitely recommend coming here the next time you want to feel extra fancy and modern.

Great ambiance, delicious drinks. The food is high quality and creative. Service is friendly and attentive. You can share a bunch of small plates or get an entree. This is a great place to go if you want a really good meal.

Big city dining, in cozy Southwest Michigan. We tried most of the available small plates, and for the main course had the slow steak. Every dish was meticulously crafted to perfection-from the exotic, fresh flavor combinations, to the visual presentation- Houndstooth can do no wrong! Make sure to put in a reservation, because this is the hottest spot in tow.
