“First time here, and I would definitely come back. The Eggs Blackstone was delicious. One egg was overcooked, but the flavor of the dish was fantastic. The potatoes were well cooked but very bland and not seasoned. The crepes were good and a lighter option. They have a nice outdoor seating section. The service was friendly and prompt for how busy they were. We had a 10min wait for a table. They have a very nice menu with plenty of options and offer espresso drinks as well as cocktails. If you're looking for a good weekend brunch or breakfast in town I recommend stopping here.”

“I just had such an amazing experience at this place. Five stars for sure. This is the second location. Clean, crisp, vegetable juices, protein, smoothies, ginger, shots, and healthy food choices as well. The decor was simple and clean and the reggae music in the background was a bonus. “Some of the best Midwestern barbecue that you can find. The proprietor and his wife are amazing and his children work endlessly every time I'm there. He learned how to barbecue in St. Louis and she brought up all the southern appetizers and sides It's amazing. When traveling through Michigan I go out of my way to stop there. P.S. I am not a friend or family member but I am nosy and he explained why the food is so good.”

“NolaRoux is a diamond in Watervliet! I don't often leave reviews, but when I do - it's because it was truly 10/10. This was my husband and I'm first time in and we both have lived in North Carolina, where we often got broils and traveled to get broils. The Saturday Special broil at NolaRoux was arguably MUCH better than anything we got in Savannah/Florida because it was more than Old Bay - it was mixed balanced seasonings with delicious butter. We ordered a seafood salad po'boy to split, along with a broil special to split. Delicious - and the cornbread was perfectly sweet to balance the savory broil shrimp. Our waitress who we took our order with realized we were splitting the broil and was so kind to provide an additional cornbread! Even though it was a window order style, she still checked on us throughout the meal seeing if we needed anything/asking how it was. 10/10 staff! Truly will add this to our rotation - thanks for choosing VanBuren County!”

“First visit. Nice spot, they a few booths and tables for dine in. Ordered birria, steak and tongue tacos. All were flavorful. Birria is not my favorite but this one was good. The machete was also very flavorful. Ordered the lime cucumber drink and it was amazingly refreshing and deliciously sweet. The lime did not overpower the cucumber flavor. They let you taste them before you order. I tasted the strawberry and it was good as well. The mango and guayaba paletas “popsicles” are made in house and have chunks of fruit inside. Very refreshing, flavorful, not overly sweet and seems to get better with every bite. The Rompope was ok and the strawberry with tajin was good although we were suppose to get the mamey. Friendly service, they custom make some of the foods although it would take a bit longer of course. Reasonable prices. Fast service. Clean restroom. Highly recommend.”

“The food was great! Our server Sandy was great! There was a pinball machine for the kids to play with as they cooked our food while I listened to some good tunes on the jukebox. The place is all decked out for Christmas and looks amazing, they did a wonderful job! 😁 Nice small town atmosphere and kid friendly menu equipped with crayons and activity sheet! “Grace was our server. She's pretty great! There's really good atmosphere here. They could probably stand to finish the painting in various areas but overall the whole place is appealing and comfortable. I ordered the country (sausage and onions omelette) (special) and my pic ordered the Hawaiian (ham, bacon, pineapple and lots of Swiss cheese) omelette with a biscuit. It also came with potatoes. Everything was perfect! This is definitely a come back soon little diner that I'll be coming back to!!! Thank you for a great breakfast!!!”

“First time here. Had a good experience overall. I don't necessarily rate any of the chains higher than a three overall, but it will rate items individually higher. The food was really good. I especially like the mayo they use. The service was a little challenge because of some items going on in the back room but it was successful. I like the layout and the atmosphere. It was nude for me so I enjoyed it. Overall, I think I'm going to continue to frequent this organization and this location for the quality of their subs. Although I don't care much for the prices, $14 for a large subs seems a little excessive to me, but that's the time we seem to be living in”

“So I went today and the man who was there was super friendly and it was clean in there. The service was also quick for my lunch break. The only reason I am not satisfied was the very little pulled pork that was put into the bun. It was mostly just bread and sauce. The bun was huge. I did like the baked beans, I wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese but it was okay. I just felt like for the money, I should’ve been able to get more meat.”

“First time visiting on March 1st, 2024. Wonderful experience, great vibe, awesome customer service, and enjoyable food and beer. I tried the Russian Imperial Stout and it was lovely, dark and strong with an apple aftertaste. The pretzel had beer cheese and mustard to dip and both dips were fantastic! The bartender/server was friendly, kind, and helpful. We chatted a bit and she helped guide me toward a future order. I will definitely return to try the hard ciders, beer flights, and spirits, all made in house. I picked up a half dozen of fresh apple donuts on my way out.. definitely strongly recommend!”

“Sonny D's is a nice new place to have a drink and bite to eat. They offered a large bar selection to choose from, and you could have anywhere from a classic burger and fries to Chargrilled Oysters or Sausage Franconello. The atmosphere was cozy, especially with the fireplace. There were a lot of dishes I couldn't wait to try. We started with the Bavarian Pretzels, which didn't disappoint. Then I had spaghetti and Nona's famous homemade meatballs. My husband had the Rigatoni Portobello. Both dishes were wonderful. Our server was very nice, just a little slow. We will definitely go back!”
