There was a short wait for a table. We went without reservations on a Saturday night. It was packed.
They made the best 7 Crown sour ever.
Our appetizer was beer battered onion rings. These were light enough that we could eat them all. Not too greasy.
She had the cod. It came with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Sometimes it's hard to find good coleslaw, but she said hers was good. And the mashed potatoes were great.
Her coffee ice cream dessert had at least a pint of ice cream on it. After she was full there was so much left the take-home box wouldn't close.
My baby back ribs tasted like they had been cooked over a real wood grill. And the red potatoes tasted the same. They were excellent. Many places are serving grilled or sauteed squash. This was the least of them. They were almost raw and completely unseasoned. The server brought some that were cooked more, much more. A compromise would have been good.
The rhubarb strawberry crisp and ice cream was in such a deep dish I thought it wasn't going to run out. Very good.
A great meal. Thanks to Tonya, our server, who made endless trips to our table, and was always helpful.
We really liked it! Found it doing some searches, first time here on our way to Chicago..they don't they open til after 5 pm... Which worked for us this evening... they had a real good menu, and terrific atmosphere, plenty of parking.. seemed very popular with visitors and locals. Wait staff was terrific too. Highly recommend.
A warm inviting great place. You can tell the good is made with quality products. The apple crisp is worth every calorie.
One of my favorite places in Harbor Country. If you're looking for a "Michigany" place to have a casual bite to eat, this is it. You'll get a true north woods feel when you walk in. Staff is friendly and food isn't what you'd expect from a "roadhouse". Casual, but very good. Great drink selection, also. Try it! Be careful pulling onto Red Arrow Hwy when you leave.
This was my first time here and I have to say the food was amazing! I have no complaints here. Prices are great, the service was great, plenty of places to sit, and the food was really good! If I lived in the area I'd come every week. Keep up the amazing work.
