“Love the Happy Troll! The food is delicious and the bakery produces amazing desserts. Our server Sharon was great. Would recommend to everyone. Stop by and say Hi to Dennis, the owner, whose hospitality is top notch! Bada Bing sandwich and braunschweiger sandwich with dill havarti. Lemonade cookie.”

“Wow! What a wonderful date night. Atmosphere was classy and extremely clean. Service was fantastic. The host Mike was very friendly and our server Sonia was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was impeccable! Started with the Brussels. Very crispy, sweet and savory. We ordered prime rib and walleye for our entrees. Large portion sizes and cooked perfectly. Ended the evening with the house made chocolate mousse and peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. Both were so good! We will definitely be back.”

“It was a little pricey, but the food was delicious (and HOT!) and the service was top notch. Be careful when you order extra spicy, because they deliver! They don't mess around with spice like some other restaurants do.”

“Had a wonderful dinner here today! Beautiful food, view, and plates made to share. The venue included fresh flowers on each table with a panoramic window of the Lake Charlevoix and raising bridge. Classy music matched the atmosphere. Kind staff with a skilled and personable chef. Service was timely and attentive. A rotating menu made with high quality ingredients offers new options for each visit!”

“I had the Nomi Rice Bowl with Ahi Tuna. They're only carryout right now, which was fine with me. The bowl was delicious! The vegetables were plenty and tasty and had a good bite to them. The tuna was nicely seared and very tender. The sauce was just enough, flavorful, but not heavy-handed. I was very satisfied.”

“This was by far the best dinner we have had while on vacation. My pork chop was FABULOUS! My husband had the walleye and of course I tried his dinner and the walleye was AMAZING!!! Topped the evening off with vanilla ice cream drizzled with bourbon caramel sauce. Service couldn't have been any better. We will definitely return!”

“Nice atmosphere..poor service. Food was good but pricey. Lunch will run about 20.00 p/p. We waited 15 minutes to be seated only to see several open tables throughout the restaurant. While the views were nice we left expecting more.”

“Absolutely amazing food and service. Great selection of specialty sodas and food. Had the Skinner's burger and it tasted absolutely tremendous. Wait staff and chefs should be proud of such an amazing restaurant. A member of my party was absolutely floored by the quality of meat that was put into their Rueben.”

“Best breakfast in Charlevoix. Great atmosphere. Everyone loved their breakfast. Pretty fast service that Saturday morning we stopped.”

“I am the type of person that only gets one thing at every restaurant I go to. So I can’t speak for anything else but the pork nachos. They are AMAZING. When my husband says let’s go to the Cantina, I seriously get so excited. I consider it a treat. I love the price of it. I wish the building was bigger so that the wait time was less, but that is a positive comment because clearly this place is doing lots right to be hopping every time I come there. I have heard from many people that the other items are just as yummy and that the atmosphere is fun. A few of the times I have gone there was a singer playing the guitar, and I just love it. Some times some of the staff is not over the top friendly, but they are so crazy busy all the time and I just look past it. My waiter/waitress has always been top notch tho and to me that’s all that matters. So, looking forward to the next visit in the Spring!”

“The beer was good, but the service could use some work. We ordered beer at the bar and wanted to sit outside while the Poker Run was taking place. Our server outside seemed a little annoyed that we were sitting outside and didn't want food. If it was busy, I'd understand and would've gone back to the bar.”

“Their coffee was so yummy!!! I didn't get a chance to look in their store longer, but they had all kinds of products with maple syrup! Definitely a great spot to visit! They also have several great tables for groups to eat lunch, since they have meat pies/pasties!”

“Pretty average food in a nice location. I've only been here once but wasn't too impressed. They forgot to bring out my soup and I felt a lemon risotto they were serving had plenty of room for improvement.”

“We loved the owner and BEST French fries around but chili was fair at best. Castleberry canned chili would have been tastier. Nicest owner in whole world. Hot dog itself would have been good plain. Try it all tastes are different maybe you'll like the chili but not to our liking. Prices comparable to everywhere in area.”

“First time at Terry's this last weekend. The menu in the window drew us in. We had the best dinner served by a lovely lady we let her order for us. Best caesar I have ever had. We had the Perch sauteed in butter, garlic and capers with hash browns. Incredible dinner after a gorgeous day on Lake Charlevoix.”

“My husband and I stopped here for dinner while staying in Charlevoix. When you walk in there’s a bar area and some tables. That room seemed to have some character and a little life in it. The second dining room they brought us to was nothing that great to look at. However, all the decor issues were forgotten when we ordered the fish and chips. I got the cod and my husband ordered the whitefish. Both plates arrived to us piping hot and the fish and fries were very crisp. Be aware, they do leave the skin on the whitefish fillets when the batter and fry them. It was different, I didn’t really care for the skin left on so we ended up picking it off. The fish itself was dense, yet flaky and very fresh. I’d go back again for the fish and chips!”
