Had a great experience !!
Eat in the family restaurant....the service was awesome.
I had one of the best hot beef sandwich in quite a long while.
Served on homemade bread with real mashed spuds.
Went to Audie's for the first time, and I am NOT disappointed! The food was fantastic, but what really made it special was our server, Chris J. He was polite, funny, relatable, and accommodating, without being overbearing. I've never left a review for anywhere before, but I just couldn't help myself. Chris deserves high praise, and I'll definitely return, not just for the food, but for a chance to have him as my server again! He really ties the place together, and Audie's is lucky to have an employee like him.
Everything was ridiculously awesome.
Bread is good to Start. Cottage cheese was great. Steak was a perfect medium with awesome flavor.
Good sweet paradise fries, battered onion rings, steamed broccoli. Great service. All around perfect meal!!!
Full disclosure - It's Audie's next door neighbor, the Chippewa Restaurant - that I enjoy so much. (Both are in the same building under the same management.). Fine dining? Check. Cloth on the tables? Check. Agreeable lighting? Check. Terrific menu! Check. (Try the elk...). Servers who know what they're about? Yes, indeed. This is a high quality restaurant with throwback elegance, and I can't wait to return.
I've been to Audie's a handful of times and never been disappointed. Like many area restaurants, the fish is always fresh and tasty. I prefer ordering from the menu over getting the buffet, but the buffet is definitely popular. Smelt is offered which is somewhat rare in restaurants.
They used to cater the Fall Bridge Run post-race breakfast and it was always excellent. In the restaurant itself, I've only had their lunch/dinner options. The atmosphere fits with the older, more traditional feel of the surrounding area. If one wasn't familiar with the importance of history for the bridge, you could call it dated. However, I find the darker, woodland atmosphere charming for the area. It's well kept, has good food, and the servers are pleasant.
If you want a nice sit-down dinner, stop to Audie's.
