The best part about this place is the Salsa & Condiment bar so you can dress them to your exact desires. Cilantro & White Onion is all I need along few a few salsas to try. The red tomatillo and guac ones were on point. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through!”

They are limited by staff, limited in delivery for supplies, all because of the “ no one wants to work anymore “ They can not do dine in yet ! No staff but they served us at the bar and allowed us to order take out as long as we understood they have no help. Food was great. “I've had Jamaican and Caribbean food before, this was some of the best. The goat curry was amazing! The jerk chicken lunch portion was very reasonably priced and had a great amount of food. Ox tail was delicious also, a little more stew-like than I'd had before at other places (mixed really well with the beams and rice!) Service was quick, they accommodated our party well. “I have been eating here since I was a kid, every time I'm in town I make sure to stop by. They have some of the best pizza! It's really sad that the fire changed the feel of the pizzeria so much but they did a great job restoring it. The museum is still there and always a fun visit, especially for the kids. I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area to take time to get some delicious pizza. It may not taste the same as it did before the fire, but they still make a great pie!”

Being a vegetarian driving for several hours. super hungry. came in and was little disappointment seeing no vegetarian option on the menu. that's when Mr. George jumped in told us about the walnut burger. i must say it was amazing, satisfying, off the beat from a chipotle bean patty, this is a very good vegetarian option. i hope they would add this permanent in their menu. We also had a skillet/ veggie hash.. good but little oily.. Onion rings were great. the place still has the antique decor, very cozy. staff was friendly. i would stop here every time i am heading up north. there are plenty of street parking.”

“I read the reviews and was on guard. This is a comfort food place. If you are looking for vegan 300 and under calorie place you won’t be happy. I had the shepherds pie, it does have a little grease in the meat. It is baked in a dish in the oven. That happens when I make it at home too. The Mac and cheese was amazing. The ribs were fall off the bone and French fries, MMMMM’s. Very happy with food and service!”

“Took a mini vacation to mackinaw city. Our first night we went down town to get something quick to eat. It was about quarter after 8 and we had seen that most places closed at 9. We had our eyes set on a small Asian eatery but as we approached, the worker went up to the window, locked the door and shut off the 'open' sign, even though they were advertised to be open another 45 minutes. We decided to go next door to the subway. I ordered two of the steak sliders and my fiance ordered a cold cut combo. The woman working behind the counter was very accommodating. She was very professional, friendly and made our sandwiches in a very timely manner. I wish I would have gotten her name to give her proper kudos. She made up for a not so great experience at our previous attempt to eat.”

“The food was delicious. I cannot begin to describe how wonderful it was. I had the walleye and it melted in my mouth. My wife had the perch and it was equally as wonderful. The service was fast and friendly. My daughter had the shrimp which was big and juicy. Everything was fried with a fluffy crust that wasn’t too overbearing. The only down side was how small the place was but it added to the setting. Love this place and recommend it as a must eat if in Mackinaw.”

“My husband and I ate hear because we were craving seafood. This is a harbor view lovely restaurant. We both had the lobster rolls, margaritas, and split a key lime pie. The food and drinks were actually wonderful! They were very tasty. My husband wasn't a big fan of our waitress. She seemed flighty and not as professional as she could have been. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt. The Hook is fairly new and needed to work out kinks. It is really worth giving it a shot and has delicious food.”

“We needed something quick for our daughter to eat. We ordered her a kids meal. It came with motts apple sauce with no added sugar. A soft drink or juice and we chose water. Fries and a four piece chicken nuggets. We didn’t really want her to have that much fried food but that’s all they have around here. The teller was very friendly and the inside seemed really clean which is a plus in my books. If you need something fast, affordable and clean, I definitely recommend this place.”
