My husband and I ate hear because we were craving seafood. This is a harbor view lovely restaurant. We both had the lobster rolls, margaritas, and split a key lime pie. The food and drinks were actually wonderful! They were very tasty. My husband wasn't a big fan of our waitress. She seemed flighty and not as professional as she could have been. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt. The Hook is fairly new and needed to work out kinks. It is really worth giving it a shot and has delicious food.
The food and staff at The Hook were amazing! My husband and I are here in Mackinaw City for a mini vacation. So after exploring on the other side of the Mackinaw bridge all day we came back starving and the food at The Hook hit the spot. We ordered fish and steak which were both seasoned and cooked perfectly. The side dishes were rice, backed potato and mixed veggies. All were also seasoned well and perfect portions. The best part was the view of the lake which made our date more romantic. Definitely worth tell others about and hoping to come again in the future.
Been here twice. Food was great! Second night sat at the bar with my wife and had Megan as our bartender she was fantastic. Every drink she made was absolutely perfect. She was very friendly, and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone and ask for her!
My wife and I came here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and we had a great time. The building itself, a renovated boathouse, is absolutely stunning with great views of the lake. The staff was very friendly though somewhat inattentive. The food was excellent, and we were both very happy with out selections. My white fish was perfectly prepared, though I don't feel the Cajun spice I opted for was the best choice.
