Esther's Authentic Mexican Cuisine I COOK YOU ENJOY

Best tacos I have had since I have been to Mexico. Service was great from the greeter to the server to the owner. You can tell they really care. My wife and I came back the next day after our first meal. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Completely unexpected to find a terrific Mexican restaurant on this rather remote island in Northern Lake Huron. Had breakfast of huevos rancheros and dinner of seafood nachos. Both were great!

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. This was our first trip to Drummond Island and first time here. It absolutely positively is worth a visit to Drummond Island just to eat here. The atmosphere is fun, the decor is crazy goofy fun, we even took pictures of the bathroom 😂😂. And the food was just amazing, from the fresh salsa to the entrees it was amazing. We will definitely be back with family and friends to share this place with.

Visited in late October 2022, a few days before they closed for the winter. From the complementary chips and salsa, through the main courses, and ending with the dessert, one of the finest and funnest meals I've ever had up north. The fresh salsa was so good that I bought a few tubs to bring home to share with family & friends---they loved it too---next visit I'm going to see if I can buy a gallon of it!

I was fortunate to have met and had a wonderful conversation with Esther several years ago at the Meijer grand opening in Sault Ste Marie, I assisted her there with her very large purchase of fresh produce, etc. for use at her restaurant. Because of this chance meeting, I know she uses only the freshest and finest ingredients and promised her then that I would visit her restaurant some day (It's a 285 mile drive from my home in W. Michigan). So when I visited in October we renewed our acquaintance and had another wonderful conversation!

Although the gift shop was already closed for the season, Esther reopened it just for me; I proceeded to do some early Christmas shopping while there.

It's well worth the trip to Drummond even if Esther's Authentic Mexican Cuisine is your only planned stop, Esther's is now my favorite Mexican Restaurant in the entire UP of Michigan.
