The New York Restaurant

Outstanding salmon, good filet mignon - great, attentive service at the bar! Certain entrees are b1g1 between 5:00 and 5:30. Reservations are apparently required, though - we got the last two seats at the bar, while 3 tables sat empty the whole time we were there. It got very loud and crowded at the bar toward end of our meal.

Had a great waiter named Jerry. Great guy. Had a hanger steak that was great. Thought it was odd they gave me french fries with it instead of a baked potato or maybe asparagus or broccoli. Wife had strip steak that was good, kinda of dry though. Very relaxing place though pretty expensive..

The regular menu always has a few favorite choices, but it's the specials that change daily that are the feature. These aren't old dishes they're trying to get rid of! Great wine selection and the staff has all been there forever, so if you need any local info, they're your source. Early bird bogo dinners, fresh suishi Thursdays. No kid menu (definitely a more adult restaurant).

We are locals looking for a new spot for a nice dinner and decided to try out the New York Restaurant. We were sat right away but we’re not greeted by a server for about 10 minutes. After finally ordering and getting our meal, my filet was dry and over cooked but the sides were delicious. The other meal at the table was supposed to come with mushrooms on top of the steak, but did not, although the steal was cooked perfectly. We would definitely like to try this restaurant one more time before we make a decision, but this visit was slightly disappointing.

5 Stars because the food was all absolutely excellent. Great atmosphere too. I might ding it a star because the service was good, not great. I have to think it's seasonal help and it's hard to get experienced people. I don't want to dwell on that. The food was done to perfection, served hot and presented perfectly. The duck was perfect as was the white fish, lamb shank and hanger steak. Our party of 4 raved about everything. We'll be going back next time we're in the area and we'll all recommend it to friends and family. BTW, the prices are very reasonable.
