“The staff in the hotel, restaurant and bar were very friendly. Decent menu selections, liked the deli restaurant more (disappointed that they no longer serve food). The bar has a small selection of food items. Rooms are decent sized, no in-room refrigerator or microwave (there's one in the hotel lobby), beds are very comfortable.”

“With new management, the restaurant has has greatly improved. Still, the food quality is sometimes lacking; for example: greasy foods on the seafood buffet; dry, cold biscuits out of a box. No desserts offered. Service remains poor. Still, the Sunday chicken is fantastic, and the Wednesday comfort food buffet reminds me of dinner at grandma's.”

“Delicious, delicious, delicious. I like to smoke meat. I'm all about the dry rub. Their recipe on the baby back ribs has qualities of baking spices, cloves in particular. Also very little sugar if any. Black pepper. Perhaps brined which, in combination with the cloves and black pepper, gives it qualities of ham and pastrami, respectively. Very unique, and did I mention delicious? Toothsome as well, great texture. We come to the UP every year and stop by a couple times, at least.”
