Boone's Long Lake Inn

Actually the grade should be 2 1/2 stars. I'm sure we're in the minority here but these steaks and other entrees are average at best. This local chain and their restaurant kitchens are too big and the kitchen loses track of what they're cooking. They get a lot of orders wrong and we've sent back a lot of improperly cooked or cold food. Service is almost always nice and friendly so no problem there. This review is for the Boone's near Interlochen. The one near Sutton's Bay is better but suffers from some of the same problems. Unless you eat at odd times, or mid-week, be prepared for long waits. Mostly it's not worth the grind. Too big, too busy for an average steak.

Everything was great...I don't give 5 star ratings unless a place is SPECTACULARLY FABULOUS. This was, however, great. Very good perch and steaks. Easy to spend $200 for 4 people for dinner and drinks.

Casual atmosphere. The waitress we had we was awesome. Wish I remembered her name. Had the prime rib and perch combo. Rib was rare just how I like it. The perch was delicious. Haven't had perch since me and my dad used to go fishing when I was a kid.

Very solid steak/seafood restaurant. What impressed me the most was they were able to cook my 3 yo's steak to medium- despite it being a kids steak and not that thick. All the other meals were solid. I had the broiled whitefish- it was okay, however everyone else had a good meal. The prices were within reason. The service was good. Overall good ambiance and food.
